Purchased three of the wide hanging style without dowels to use as decorations for a baby shower. They looked nice and the price was great. Unfortunately, each of them had an overwhelmingly horrible odor and two actually arrived damp in their packaging. I have a “thing” for macrame and, depending on the quality and dye of a piece, it’s possible that the roping can have a slight smell. But, these were TERRIBLE and it was worrisome that they were wet. I considered washing them but the smell was so bad I didn’t think it’d be successful/worth my time. Returned them and Amazon kindly processed refunds.

This is a beautiful hanging, but it smells very strong. I had to put it out on my porch to air out...so my question is - will this smell ever go away and if so how long will it take? This item arrived quickly and looks identical to the picture.

Bought this to replace a tapestry that hung behind my bed. This looks much nicer and really ties the bedroom together for me. I thought my cats would be obsessed with is but so far they haven't even approached it.

Returned item due to incorrect sizing. Also, item had a very strong bad smell upon opening package, otherwise would have been a nice product.

i love this wall decor! a bit smaller than what i expected but i’m still obsessed with it. it does have a strange smell when you take it out of the packaging but i believe it’s just the material.

It is very well made. I using it in a large window and it's perfect!!!

This was very cute but smelled like dirt. I had to leave it outside for over a week to air out and spray with febreeze
