Got this as a Christmas gift for my 7-year old niece. I won best gift of the year (and she is spoiled rotten).A few things to know: - while we did not find a "made in" sticker - this is almost definitely made in china - this is like a crochet (yarn) blanket your mom might have made - well at least my mom might have made - but in the form of a fish tail - looks very cool in person - the scales are not a print - they are actually formed in a scale pattern / texture - my niece immediately wanted to run around the house in it - which is both ill advised, and in most cases impossible without destroying it - because of the loose knitting involved here - getting the tail on involves a few attempts - with little toes poking out a few times before getting completely situated - This came in a shrink wrapped package - and had a terrible odor. Thankfully we opened it up and aired it out for a week before gifting it.My 22 year old daughter was jealous - and now also wants one. I guess that is also a plus :)5-stars for winning best uncle award for the year.

I bought this for my Granddaughter and she loves it..However it looks nothing like the picture...its supposed to be a mermaid tail and it is open...The part that is supposed to flair out as fins doesn't...it just lays there a small triangle..very dissappointed in the construction of this. Yet my Granddaughter loves it..So it is what it is

I had a different mermaid blanket and the tail was small and would always fold up. On the contrary, this tail is nice and big. I can get both feet through the hole in the end. This blanket is a lot more what I had in mind. It's not super long, though, so don't expect to pull it up to your neck.

I bought this as a gift for my 2 yr old granddaughter. The color was just like the picture, a pretty bright blue and the crochet work looked like fish scales and was very soft. She loved it! Although it said it was for kids, it was big enough for an adult to wear (which really wasn't a problem) and where the tail comes together just above the fin the stitching wasn't elastic; it was like having your feet tied together. I replaced the stitching with elastic so you could move your feet a little bit.Overall everyone loved it especially my granddaughter! I would buy this again.

Bought two of these blankets, a pink and purple as gifts! They are so soft and just beautiful! My nieces love everything mermaid and I'm sure these will be their favorite gifts! Contacted customer service and they were a delight to work with!

Exactly as pictured! Very happy to receive this item and find it to meet all expectations I had for it. I bought it for my 5 year old!

The yarn is like a forever 21 sweater, which is okay for the price. The biggest problem I have with this is the tail is alot smaller than the one pictured.
