One of our favorites
I originally got this from a used book store but my daughter and I read it so many times it fell apart. She is so attached to this book I had to buy it again! I've since gotten a few others by the same author and illustrator and we absolutely love them. ❤️

Great way to introduce the clock
This is such a cute story!!!! It was in instant hit with my 2.5 yr old and every day she puts in a request for that specific book. The story is very cute and relatable for a toddler. The little bunny wakes up at a certain time, washes face, combs hair, chooses clothes to wear, sits down to eat breakfast from a bowl. Then cooks, plays, reads with mamma and has a fun afternoon in the park. There is a fully described bedtime routine as well. The little bunny is not specified to be a girl or boy, so this book can be read to either with equal success.Of course the main point is that throughout the day the bunny checks the time on the clock. The times are always 'on the clock' (i.e. round hours, 8am, 11am, etc). It's a great way to introduce the clock to a younger audience.I bought this book because my daughter was getting very much into hugs and had started noticing the clock and was very curious what it was. Great purchase.

We love this book
I bought this as a gift for my niece who's expecting her first baby. This is my kids favorite baby book and they still beg me to read it to them at 8 and 6 years old.

Does not teach a regular daily routine. Skips a lot of stuff.
The book goes through the day counting off the hours and always makes time for a hug. I bought this book hoping it would normalize routine behaviors like getting up, changing clothes, and brushing teeth, putting laundry in the hamper, etc. But I was also hoping it would set the idea of what a normal day should look like. The book did a good job of listing a relatively standard morning and evening routines, but it fell VERY short of providing a regular daily routine. For example, the book skipped regular events (like eating lunch and eating dinner), glossed over entire time periods in the day (from 9am-12pm, 1-3pm, and 4-8pm), did not include regular chores (like going grocery shopping, setting the dinner table, or putting toys away), does not have mom and toddler come home until 8pm at night (so the toddler is really going to bed closer to 9pm), there are no naps, and there is only one parent pictured in the book (so it doesn't include mom or dad coming home from work). in fact, they baked a pie when should have been eating lunch and then packed in an awful lot of play activities. It was too much to realistically be in the same hour interval. I did however like that the book's images included clocks with the correct hand positions, but again if a page mentioned multiple times because it was skipping over parts of the day, then the clock would show only ONE of the times listed. Some toddlers may not be able to know to which time the clock applies... and for educational reasons it would have been better to have one time a page and the clock drawn to match.Overall the focus of the book is hugs, not the reality of a daily routine. So it is cute and I will read the book to my son, but its not what we really needed/wanted.

Favorite in our home
I bought this for my son when he was a baby and now he is 3. It’s continues to be a favorite, so much that I have started giving it as a gift to others. Everyone has reported back that it’s one of their kid’s favorite books now. My son loves when I pause and let him say “time for a hug!” and then he always leans in and hugs me. For that reason, it’s one of MY favorite books as well!
