Premium Organic Fennel Pollen, 28.4 Grams Tin (1 Ounce)

If you have loved Italian food, and you enjoy cooking, you will love this herb/seasoning. Some of the most memorable experiences to me were growing up with the smells and tastes of great food from the kitchen at home. Later in life, I had the pleasure of discovering some of those same aromas and dishes in some fine restaurants.I was familiar with fennel seed, but this is a seriously "notched up" fennel flavor in a stellar category. I don't have experience with other brands, etc., so I can't compare. But, if you haven't tried this (or another fennel pollen), it is WELL worth the price.It's small but goes a long way. So far, I've used this in a marinara, potato/egg croquettes, and a pork sausage and I can tell you this is the "SECRET" ingredient for me.

If you've never used Fennel Pollen, you're missing out on a unique taste. I bought a jar of fig jam a few years ago that contained Fennel Pollen and the flavor was so incredible and different, I went looking for my own. This is only the second tin I've bought in the intervening years because only a pinch is required for most dishes. It really adds a difference to your usual recipes, and makes such a simple thing as eggs something interesting.

I haven't used this before but have used a fennel salt which I love (which has fennel pollen). A nearby restaurant makes a zucchini pizza sprinkled with this which is SO delicious. I received the package quickly and it looks and tasted like great quality stuff. If you have never tried this - DO IT. It doesn't taste like fennel - it is sweet - almost like licorice root.

I got my first taste of Fennel Pollen and I'm hooked. Just started using it and it's a nice finisher for fish and I just recently used some on some roasted beets and it's a really great flavor combination. Looking forward to discovering more great uses for this product.

Fennel Pollen is a wonderful addition to many dishes ~ use it sparingly and it will add a complex flavor. I love it and this is excellent quality.

I had only eaten meals with the fennel pollen as an ingredient--as opposed to preparing my own food with it. Further, I have nothing to compare the product to in terms of quality, freshness, etc. That said, the pollen was packaged well for freshness and was outstanding. It added a level of savoriness and olfactory satisfaction that I have only occasionally experienced. As other reviewers have written, a little goes a long way.

Excellent quality. I'm a working chef and purchased this for my home kitchen. I've not found any finer quality or aromatic fennel pollen bar none.
