Rachel Ashwell Couture Prairie: and flea market finds

I’m a native Texan, I love Round Top and the rest of Texas Hill Country, and I admire Rachel Ashwell’s style. This book is eye candy. Even though I wouldn’t decorate my home exactly like this, it’s fun to incorporate a few elements of her style. Another reviewer ripped page 43 from her book because she said 2 of the 3 flags shown are racist. The flags, other than the U.S. flag, are the Texas and British flags. Round Top is in Texas, and Ms. Ashwell is British. The flags are there for a reason and are not inherently racist to me, but each individual can decide whether to rip that page from her/his book.

The pictures are beautiful and inspiring.

Lovely Book and great ideas.

Book is dedicated to her style and dogma whether you are with it or not still a lovely Ashwell trademark book. Also The ignorant who posted that there was a racist flag, there was none! Unless you are not familiar with a State and UK flag, then you need to read and learn more.

Loved all her books except this one. I am disappointed, it was about her ranch and not about shabby chic ideas and vintage finds. Some prairie is ok but wasn’t expecting it to be most of the book. The book is her largest and pictures are nice but content is just not there. The last few pages with Christmas ideas were lovely!

This book disappointed me a little. The things in the book are old/damaged and I don’t see this as country cottage. 22 dollars spent on it, not really happy.

Arrived in perfect condition, looks brand new. As with all Rachel Ashwell books, it's full of beautiful photographs

Loved the book! It was a gift for someone special unfortunately there was a tear on the back of the cover.

I like her style so enjoy browsing them, knowing someone in my family says he is not going to have a load of old rubbish in his home. Tried to say these are well used and loved, but does not wash with him. getting around the problem in little ways!
