These seeds are fresh...
Don't worry about receiving it late or with broken seed shell. Just soak them in water for a night, wrap them in wet paper towel, then put it in sandwich bag. Whether the skin is broken or intact, they will germinate. I ordered this one as a backup, and I am glad I did. The other one germinated NONE, while this package germinated over 80%!!!

Expensive duds. Stay away.
We ordered these seeds for our vegetable garden. We planted these seeds along side seeds harvested from our crop last summer. NONE of the new seeds germinated while 6 of 7 of the seeds from our previous harvest sprouted. Same soil, same conditions, very different results. We have ordered seeds from Stonysoil before and had good results, but these were expensive duds.

Very happy with bitter melon
I had a good crop of bitter melon last summer and will grow them again. Each vine continued to produce a lot of melons. Pick them before they get too ripe. My friend with Type I Diabetes has been able to quit his prescription medicine using my bitter melons. The taste is something that requires getting used to, so I dry them and put them in capsules. I too like to take a couple 00 capsules when I eat sweets to lower my blood sugar.

Read the reviews before commitment
Word of advice is to read EVERY review before total commitment. I knew the risk of purchasing these seeds. I knew the reviews mentioned slow to no sprouting. I knew what I was getting into. I truly honestly wanted to grow bitter melon this year and if I got one sprout I'd be happy.Do some in depth research, sprouting these guys is an insane procedure! I only got 2 to sprout out of the entire container. I fully expected a container of duds. If I can get these 2 to grow and produce fruit, I will have paid for the seeds in full.

Bitter melon
First seeds I planted I started in too small of a container. Then Next try, I used a larger container and put 4 seeds in the top at 90 degrees apart. WOW, that really helped. After planting those, They Grew WILD. No fruits yet, but Soon !!

These should prosper and grow wild once established here at our land here in Florida.
Thank you so much for getting these to us so quickly! We had ordered some seeds some years back that were not the correct ones... but after getting an understanding as to which type my wife loved I was able to track these down which as pictured are the ones she wanted all along! If these grow we will allow a decent percentage of the bitter melon vegatables bloom abd go to seed...as we found with the other variety that they were being spread by animals and growing in places we never planted here on our ranch. Ideal for fencelines...Cows did not seem even the least bit interested in the previous planting of the wrong bitter melon variety so I am fairly condident that they will ignore these too after perhaps taking one bite lol

Seeds don’t sprout
Did not sprout, all of the seeds are old and done. Ripped off...experienced gardener here and these are just old garbage.

Bitter melon everywhere
At first we thought the plants from the seeds were going to be duds. Well; they were not. From June until now my wife has been harvesting bitter melon’s like there’s no tomorrow. The chest freezer we have that was for everyone’s frozen foods is now a storage locker for bitter melon! Can’t say enough good. this was the best investment and made my wife so happy. She’s been giving them away to her family and probably had, no exaggeration, 200 bitter melon‘s (big ones) during this time. To the merchant; I’ll see you in the spring!
