Best one I've tried
The media could not be loaded. Surprisingly, it's hard to find one of these things that lasts. But also, a lot of them don't advertise whether you can insert the bit without pulling back the lock. This one works just by pushing in and it's super solid. It's smooth, no resistance or friction, but also no slop. It'll make you wish the chuck on your impact was of the same quality.

Quality piece of hardware.
I lost my old one and this was more expensive than others but I took a chance. Have been using pretty hard in my impact drill. Works great.

This chuck is almost exactly like the Ole Milwaukee style bit chuck.
Works just as well or better.Better being the fact u can just push a bit into it w/o pulling back the retainer.Very good quality.

Snappy Quick Change Drill Bit Chuck
I bought this because I just didn't care much for several other major name brands of these I also own and use. This thing is terrific and out of all the ones I do have, the bits very easily slide in (without having to pull back on the collar), and are secure with NO wobble/runout whatsoever. Then when it is time to remove your bit, simply pull down on the collar and the bit easily removes. It may be a little troublesome for those with arthritis as this quick change chuck sits very close to you drill's chuck. The spring tension on the collar is not unreasonable in my opinion. Also, the "hexed" end of this item is 3/8", so your drill or other chucked tool must accommodate at least a 3/8" bit. This chuck accepts every 1/4" bit designed with a longer shaft I've used. It also accepts those that are short, but some sit deep enough in this quick change chuck that it may be difficult to get a good purchase on your driven screw/bolt. I am going to order 2 more for my other two drivers as soon as I submit this.

Best quick-release you can buy
I've tried them all, believe me, but this one is the best made and easiest to use, I've tried just about every brand on the market and found nothing to match this one for ease of operation. I should add as well, that I'm a repeat customer. I have owned one for 20 years, and wanted to get a second one for use with my corded drill. However since the store I got if from went out of business, I found them to be unavailable until I thought to check the net. Needless to say, I was pleased to find it here.If I had any criticism of this tool, it's that the cylindrical nose can get in the way at times when working with short drill bits, but that is easy enough to work around. I would not sacrifice the device's functionality and ease of operation for the sake of having a tapered nose - as many competitors have. PS, if you own an old one of these, you'll be happy to know that the shaft of the newer model has been improved to allow the chuck of your drill to get a better grab on it. It is now fully hexagonal and works better than before on a drill with a 3/8" chuck.

Better than Wera
Much less wobble than a highly rated Wera locking bit holder. Locks in tightly.I love Wera and generally find American made tools inferior to German and Japanese ones, but this one is better.
