The directions were simple enough, and the unit was easy to assemble. I put it into my garden, hoping it would protect against nighttime pests - even living in a big city, possums and raccoons love to go after my garden. The solar charger works throughout the day (the thing beeps incessantly) but once it's twilight this stops doing anything at all. There seems to not be an internal battery. I would have returned it, but I'm hopeful it's making a difference with the squirrels. It's hard to say.

Bought this product to repel my neighbor's dog which pees on my front lawn and leaves dead patches in the grass. This was advertised as being silent to human ears. It's not. It creates an irritating chirp which arouses the attention of my neighbors and drives me crazy when I'm outside. The PID sensor is sensitive to a great distance so cars set it off and it runs nearly constantly. Lastly, my neighbor's dog continues to come onto my lawn seemingly unphased by the ultrasonic sound. Your mileage my vary. I was impressed by how well the battery lasts and recharges with the solar panel. It has survived torrential rainfall and continues to work. It just doesn't have the desired effect.

This worked so good in my flower bed that my 4 month old Border Collie pup was scared to go do her business outside. She started holding it again for inside. I turned it off. Also, I'm feeding a couple of squirrels. If it scared my dog, I'm sure it scared the squirrels.

This product never worked. I followed the directions, and the light came on and made a sound when I put it in the ground, however, the cat and rabbit I was trying to keep off my porch kept coming as usual and invited friends among. The product must be defective or is just no good. I should have looked at the reviews of others before me as they stated it does not work. Believe us.

Some guy let's his dog crap on my yard every day.....no amount of yelling at him got him to stop. Some dog owners are total idiots.....installed this chaser in my landscape.....about thirty feet from the dogs favorite spot....seems to work but I can't guard the lawn all day .....will watch for poop to see how effective the unit is.

I bought this to keep the neighborhood cats out of my backyard. I installed the device in my yard about 2 weeks ago and I have not seen a cat since. The device works, but the sound that it makes to scare off animals is ANNOYING. It makes me not even want to go in my yard because of the sound. The device is motion detected, but it seems that ANY motion sets it off, even wind. So the high pitch frequency ringing sound is on constantly.Update: The cats are back! Laying right next to the device ringing on full blast. 👎🏽

When I bought this item, it had really good reviews. That seems to have changed! I have not had it very long... but, it doesn’t work. The first day, it went off non-stop. It was even going off when in the “off” position on the second day. It has not kept anything out of my yard so far... squirrels, skunks, ... I picked 2 of these up for my vegetable garden. LAME!!!
