This light is not for checking ID’s. I work in security where I need to identify multiple states ID’s and multiple countries pass ports. The 395nm light is not for verifying ID’s at all. If you want to check ID’s then you need 365nm light. This light would be better utilized as checking UV Ink stamps at chuckee cheese or searching for stains, that’s about it. Other then the false advertisement, this light is made of quality materials. I like the rechargeable and zoom able aspects.

This light works well with a strong beam and good coverage area. My wife uses it to find unwanted bugs on our vegetable plants, the ones that come out at might. It's been very effective for that purpose. The flashlight appears to be well made and solid. I can't address the waterproof aspect of the light as we haven't gotten it wet.That the flashlight is rechargeable is a great feature that keeps the light ready for use. If you forget to recharge the flashlight, it will take standard AAA batteries. I haven't had it long enough to judge the battery life, but most rechargeable lights, like this one, have really good battery life if you charge them according to your use.I haven't seen any reason not to recommend this flashlight.

I wanted an option for the "kits" that got some bad reviews that included the UV cure glue and a poor quality light (torch). It is well made and rechargeable so no replacement batteries to deal with. The flashlight cures the glue in a few seconds. No issues to report and a great value.

I love this flashlight. It is so sturdy and so easy to recharge with usb cord. I am finding many uses for it. I actually discovered if you shine it on your face it shows you clogged pores, so I use it to determine when I need to use a facial cleanser to clear out my pores. I did find out that if you have photo grey in your glasses it turns them dark so beware. I use mine everyday for many different things like shining it on the new fallen snow, it makes it a purple wonderland! It is so much fun for the kids to play with also, they love what it does when shined on their toes nails. Well worth the money.

I bought this light to check for leaks in my oil and transmission with a UV leak detector. The light has worked great for that. I tired around with the light around the house and at work. The battery could be a little better, I've only used it for a few hours and it will shut it after being on for 5 or less minutes. I've only charged it once do there is a possibility I didn't charge it completely. I haven't tested The lights water resistance as I have no need to use it in water yet. The biggest downside is that the adjustment between narrow bean and wife bean isn't very stiff so it just in is own as you're using it. For what I need it for it works great though.

a sturdy little uv light that stands up to tough environments and occasional use. highly recommend for scorpion hunting...as well as discovering where a feline has been misbehaving around the house. excellent value for the money, especially since its rechargeable.

Seems to do what it's supposed to. No complaints so far. Couldn't figure out how to charge it at first, thats what i get for not reading directions, but found that you just slide down the sleeve and the charging port is underneath it.

This UV pen is very useful to find the hidden dirty areas on carpet and furniture using the UV light. It was an eye opening experience to use this tool after vacuuming and then still see the stains, and dirt particles not visible otherwise.The build quality of this pen is pretty solid. It has some weight in it and thus easy to use and feels like carrying something, esp. when in a pocket. I am using it with the included AAA batteries and has a good battery life. There is a USB charging capability, which I will probably not use that much.Note that there is no regular white light in this pen.Overall, this is a good value for money.
