Serves it's function + tips to rid lice
If you're freaking out like I was when I discovered I had lice, mix 20 drops of REAL tea tree oil (aura cacia or plant therapy are good brands) in about a cup of olive or avocado oil. Put in your hair, yes even the roots.. especially the roots, and saturate well. Cover your head with a plastic bag or hair bag for 1-2 hours, use a fine toothed normal comb for the larger bugs first, then this. Wash hair with shampoo, adding tea tree to that also, and when you condition your hair, comb again. This will get a majority of the bugs. Several studies confirm the efficacy of tea tree oil in killing lice and the eggs. 100% of lice in the first 30 minutes, but it takes longer to kill the eggs so they dont hatch in the days to come. These are harder to see. Dont be fooled, they stick strongly to the hair follicles closer to the roots. Tea tree and lavender oil are good to put in shampoo as a preventative measure especially in the first day or 2 of getting rid of lice. the key is getting every spot in your head or they will just keep multiplying. Kill them all in one shot and you're good.Comb your hair for the next 3 days or when you condition your hair to get all the bugs out.Iif you were thorough the first day, they should at least be all dead. This worked absolutely wonderfully for me and I hope this helps someone. It takes awhile the first day to comb but it is obviously worth it. Good luck.

Got rid of lice in 48 hours!
This is the first bout of lice that our family has had to deal with and despite our best efforts our child still managed to get a few eggs in her hair from playing with the other kids at school. This comb made the whole ordeal much easier then when I was a child. The comb is well made from tough materials and the narrowness of the teeth make combing through to get out the nits and eggs a breeze. Two or three run through in the shower and by me and my partner picking through her hair, she was lice free in 48 hours! The price was completely reasonable and made the entire ordeal that must easier to get through. It was also easy for my child to use on her own, combing through her hair in the shower in order to maximize the effectiveness of our efforts to get rid of those little monsters. 10/10 would buy again but dearly hope I don't have to. Anyone dealing with lice should invest in this and if you get that horrible, dreaded letter from school that there's been an outbreak of lice at your child's school it would be GREAT to use for preemptive strikes against any eggs that might have found their way onto your kids head.

Good for lice, Good for dandruff
This little comb is essential to getting lice out of hair. But I recently started using it to get the flakes out of my hair because I have scalp psoriasis and it has worked a lot better than a regular comb.

Quality, strong teeth to the comb, dishwasher safe
this is the most awesome nit comb, the ones that they sell in the grocery store are not even close to the sturdy high quality of this product. GREAT PRODUCT, TEETH DO NOT BREAK, DISHWASHET SAFE, this one is the way to go! The teeth do not break when you try to comb through your child's hair, it is definitely worth the money, and would recommend to any families have had to have to deal with this problem.

I Hate Checking For Lice!
I should give this a better review because what it does it does really well, check for lice. Yuck! The only reason I gave this an OK score is simply because it pulls my hair a little too much when using it. I have really fine hair and I end up having what I feel is too many hairs pulled when checking for lice. My wife and children both have more coarse hair, so this make checking even more difficult. Either way, with small children playing and hanging with their friends, this is still a much needed tool in your kit to make checking for those nasty little bugs a little easier to accomplish.

The Lice-inator!
So my, dd brought the family lice for Mother's Day - isn't she sweet. I love her, anyways :D So, off to Wegman's I went, bought a lice kit, with their flimsy plastic comb :( I knew I was just going to be living with lice until the end of time with this thing, so I found this comb for half the price as other's listed here on Amazon and bought some other stuff to add up the $25 I needed for this add on item. I almost paid for next day delivery, but my cheapness would not allow it. Amazon must have felt some sort of sympathy for me and it was at my door step the next day on a normal 2 day prime delivery.Anywho, I found a few in my head after I treated it with all the lice stuff - I had previously used the flimsy comb and found nothing. I have crazy thick hair and no one else willing to pick my nits :( Can't ask a 1 or 6 yr old to do it....and with this comb I think I can do it myself. Here is to hoping these mongrel louses are out of my house sooner than later.

waste of money
Spend a little extra and get the comb with the spirals on it. It works leaps and bounds better than this or other combs.

very good quality comp product
very good quality comp product, I used for scalp in my head , not for slice. I was looking in many shop around my town and I finally found the right one. Also I used when I get under my car to do some maintenance and after I clean all the dust and debris I get from the floor. Excellent product.
