Our Advanced Microfiber Technology traps water and mud instantly. Millions of soft microfiber strands create an extra-large super-sponge. These mats have a Grams Per Square Meter (GSM) absorption rate of 3000; this advanced wicking power absorption rate is considerably higher than any of the competition that have GSMs in 900 to 1500 range. For use just about anywhere. It's more than just a doormat - use them in cars, crates, garages, under food and water bowls, after baths, and more. Protect your floors, furniture, and car seats from unwanted hair, dirt, and slobber. The Dirty Dog Doormat is outperforming the competition.

Great quality durability and value!
I first bought one of these rugs just over 2 years ago. In the winter our yard gets particularly muddy when it rains and I decided I wanted another one to increase the coverage. I really have been impressed with these rugs. They are thick, durable and absorbent. They’re also soft to stand on, a nice spot for bare feet. One of our dogs likes to sleep on them. Are they a miracle working rug? No, you still have mud or water come in, but they help a lot! They’re also easy to clean. I have washed mine countless times and I dry it in the dryer, but I will say I noticed in the packaging for the new rug that you are supposed to hang it to dry. In my picture, the dog is standing on the old rug and the new one is behind her. That old rug is still in great shape. There is some slight fading but the fibers and backing are fine. As for the non-slip backing, it works pretty well: if you’re standing above it and try to move it with your foot it doesn’t move much, but my dogs come in the house like rodeo horses out of the gate and they definitely can move the rugs. Overall, I recommend. I also recommend not having 4 dogs.

The RUNNER size is the BEST thing EVER.
Best mat ever (if you get the Runner size).I have purchased both the runner and the regular doormat size. The regular doormat size rug never stays in place, it slides around all over the place. The RUNNER, however, is the best thing since sliced bread. I purchased the maroon color and have had it for over a year now, the rubberized bottom keeps the mat in place really well, even after a year of wear and tear. This mat has been puked on, diarrhea, mud, water... you name it. I have washed it SO many times and it's still together. The rubberized backing has cracked a bit and if you flip over the rug the backing has stains on it from what the rug has been through, but the red color is still vibrant and it does it's job of reducing the amount of mud tracked in through the dog door. I love this product, I am purchasing two or three more today to add throughout the house.

Mat Embedded With Plastic Material Which Is A Potential Health Hazard
I was delighted with this purchase and my puppy seemed to love the mat. I used it for about a week when I noticed that my dog kept "digging" at the netting underneath the pile and she seemed to be eating something. A thorough search of her mouth revealed two small round plastic "balls" the size of a small pin head. I rubbed the mat netting and out came another 1/2 dozen tiny clear plastic balls. I felt around the wood floor and found at least three more small pellets. Fearing that other pets may be ingesting this plastic stuff, I called Amazon customer service and asked them to immediately investigate their stock to see if this is a common problem. They have requested the seller investigate the remaining stock, issued me an immediate refund and advised me to discard the mat for safety reasons. I offered to return the mat with the offending material, but Amazon said they had it under control.

Just buy it already ..UPDATE: .well, never mind
UPDATE after a few weeks use: the yarn that makes the paw prints is falling out of the carpet! Kept finding short pieces of blue yarn near the rug, and finally figured it out. Won't buy again until they offer it without the paw prints ...this was an expensive piece of rug, and now it just looks shabby. When I think of the money I spent trying to protect my wood floors from my 2 dog's wet feet....because I thought this brand was too expensive, I feel like an idiot. This hall runner is big enough that the dogs can't avoid walking on it, and there are much fewer wet paw prints after they've used it. I just wish they would make one without the paw prints! I'm not a big fan of cutesy.

I use them everywhere!
I've got 3 of these in runner size that I've placed throughout the kitchen at the cottage. I bought them from my local pet store and then ordered 4 more from Amazon because the price was a quarter of the pet store price. I got a really good deal at $19 each - but alas that disappeared when I tried to reorder! I keep 2 in the back of my Honda Element -- much better than towels, one in my home kitchen and one at the cottage entrance. They look great and with the paw print, they support my dog-themed cottage.I came up with a novel use by accident. I umpire for rowing and ended up without my rain gear at a regatta where it poured rained all afternoon. I grabbed one of the mats (runner size which is 5'x3') and wrapped myself in it with the plush side closest to me and the rubberized side facing out. It repelled the rain and kept me warm and provided a soft seat on the boat! When the dogs come in from the snow, sleet, rain or mud, I have them walk across the mats a few times to clean their paws. When the mats dry, I shake them out so I haven't washed them much at all. I have one next to the kitchen sink so it's soft to stand on and collects my cooking crumbs and spills.Just this month, instead of constantly washing towels and pads from their crates at the cottage, I bought 2 medium sized ones that fit nicely in a 36"x20" crate. They had an odd smell so I washed them first (threw them in the dryer although hanging was recommended) and all is well. Again, I liked them and the size so I have just ordered 2 more for the crates at home, too. I stayed away from the burgundy colour as I'd read reviews about the colour bleeding onto the under floor or carpet so I have cream/khaki and brown (cheaper in price than the cream/khaki).I like the look, the plushness, the absorbency and the colours. I'd previously bought "magic carpets" or some such thing at pet shows -- they appear to absorb liquid and dirt but they are flat and not very attractive -- in fact, ugly. I paid a lot for them and used them in the house and Element, but have since replaced them with these. Some have noted the rubber backing. So far, so good on the runner-sized ones. The crate-sized ones do not have a rubber backing. Because they chew bones in their crates, I anticipate washing those ones more often and may even get 2 more so I can rotate them and adhere to the "hang to dry" guidelines. Like my own running gear, I don't use fabric softener and won't use it on these.

Ok but very expensive for what it is
I was hoping for better results for £85, its not cheap for a cat/dog mat.I have two Persian cats who have feet like a yeti and walk mud throughout the house when it has been raining.I have tried a number of cheaper cat/dog mats but without any success of keeping the mess out of the house. So i thought i would go all out and invest £85 in what is regarded as the best dog mat on the market. Surely this will cope with two fury cats and their yeti feet.Well it does somethings ok but not the main thing that it is needed to do.Firstly it sticks and does not end up half way across the utility room when they come flying in through the cat flap. So one star.Secondly it looks really nice the wife says it looks the best we have had and the cats even like sleeping on it. Star two.But i am very disappointed that it does not adequately absorb the water and mud as it claims to do, it is better than others but for £85 it should really do what it says on the tin. So only one star.I will stick with it but for £85 i think you could find a cheaper alternative that will be as good.

Doesn’t work. I am STILL forever cleaning paw prints off the floor.
This is seriously not worth the amount I spent on it. Nowhere near in fact. I did the research as I was at the end of my tether with muddy pawprints. People in their reviews rave on about it so I though it must be amazing. My wife said, ‘How much?!’ And I said, ‘Trust me dear, this is what’s been missing from our lives...’ It’s basically just a fluffier version of a bathmat and I fail to see actually how a bathmat wouldn’t really be any different. My dog goes out in the back garden to do its business and I still have to physically get my dog’s paws and wipe them on the mat otherwise my floor is filthy. In fact I have to put the vet bed on front of it so I can wipe the paws and it can run onto it to try to get any extra mud. Disappointing to say the least. Save your money.

Love it !!
Absolutely love this rug - have tried few and this is definatley best for absorbing both wet dog and human soggy foot prints.Looks and feels quality, had lots of positive comments when friends/family seen it.Great size, would have gone larger if available!Have washed it once on 30 and dried on line - all good.Only negative, is due to depth of cushioning bit difficult to hoover, need to get smaller attachment out or just giving a good shake outside seems to do the trick.Would definately recommend.

If you have dogs these mats are great for couch, floors and car seats - really great product
I have bought about 7 of these in various sizes. Yes they are expensive but, they are easy to wash and come out perfect from the washing machine.Give them a shake outdoors before taking them to the washing machine, you’ll be shocked to see what falls out. These really trap moisture and mud and dirt. There are cheaper versions but they don’t have the same quality anti slip on the underside and that’s really a good feature if you want to put them on a couch or bench. The cats also like snoozing on them.

A must have when you have a dog - makes a wet winter easier
Yes these are a bit expensive but you won’t be disappointed. When you take it outside and shake it you’ll be amazed at what falls out of it. Great in winter when your dog comes in wet and wants to sit on the couch, or in the car after a walk. The non slip back surface is also great helps stop it slipping off the bench. The cats love it too.
