Be careful or you may get burnt. These are a little short. As long as the fire is not raging hot, you may be okay.

We moved into our new place that had a wood burning fireplace, only thing is it didn't have any tools for the chimney.So originally my husband was to eager to start a fire that he was just using his hands to move the logs. Not a smart way and sorta impatient instead of waiting to find the right tool.I came across this fireplace tool and instantly thought it was just what we needed.When it arrived in the mail I wasn't sure what to think of it as it looked like one long piece of metal and wouldn't close shut.After I put a little force on it I was able to get it to close.It's real easy to use and grabs the wood nice without having to worry it might slip.The tool itself is decent length and I like that it's colored black so it blends with the fireplace and doesn't stick out like a sore thumb.Overall it's decent metal, thick and not flimsy and holds up to it use. It could use comfortable handles, but maybe that's just a women perspective as my husband didn't seem to mind.

I imagined a very solid design and one that would really “cup” my vessel. The round part is a bit too small to wrap around it at the ideal spot. Feels like it’s gonna fall through it. I’m sure it’s good for small jobs. Im certain about that. If you’re trying to use it for bigger and heavy, I hope you are more skilled than me with them because it felt a bit dangerous. Having said that, used them 5 times and never dropped or dumped any hot metal.

These are a little flimsy but they work. For the money though, they are not terrible.

Easy to use and they grip logs really well and makes it easy moving fire wood in the pit or fire place these things are sturdy and seem really durable Not disappointed in this purchase

Use these tongs to move wood around as it burns. Works as good as more expensive brass tongs I previously had

Great forge tongs! You may have to use both hands to preform a good pour of your molten metal but for the price they are excellent tongs.

For our fireplace. Pivot pins are more like rivets. I'm sure they will eventually be replaced. Overall construction is good, but not super robust. Would like to see a cooked oil finish rather than paint, but for the price point, it's a good set of tongs.
