Silberschnitt Zag Zag Junior Wheeled Mosaic Nippers

This is well made tool used for cutting glass. I have another that I have used for years and it's going strong. I bought this one because I needed another for students in my class.

What I like is the ease of cutting. What I dislike is the difficulty placing the glass to be cut.

Nice sharp cutting edge and not too heavy. Cuts rods quite evenly if you hold rod perpendicular to the blade. Metal plate also deflects glass shards from flying. Only drawback, won't cut 2mm or 1mm stringers or glass. Otherwise a quality tool. Use Goldblatt G02007 Glass Tile Nippers to cut stringers, heavy tool but cuts glass well.

I was looking forward to these nippers---what a let-down! I expected more from Silbershnitt! The handles are wonky and pivot left-and-right when trying to cut. One of the nuts holding a cutting wheel continually loosens and the cutting wheel spins--and opposite that, the nuts on the deflector part are so tight that I can't loosen them.

Really different, but very effective. I wish the handles had some soft material on them for comfort.
