Quality is excellent and works perfectly to vent bee hive lids for horizontal hive builds.
Exactly what I needed to complete a gabled roof installation to horizontal Langstroth bee hives. These allow a good air flow from the two ends of the gable roof. Screens on inside prevent insect entrance and louvers will prevent rain from entering openings. A 51 mm (2" drill bit) makes for a tight fit of the vent and the 3 protruding points on these grab the sides of the opening preventing then from falling out.

Fits like a glove
Bought these slick little 2" vents for patio cover soffet. They appear well made and include insect screen inside the vent. I bought a 2" hole saw (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004YK8DMY) and tested the fit on a piece of tongue and groove pine ceiling. They fit nice and snug and should look great once painted black, I wish the company had a painted black option but I couldn't find one. Update, painted these black (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0186NI7LQ), used teh Lennox hole saw and installed in the new cedar roof. Look great, fit the 2" hole perfect.

Keeps the Birds Out
This works well for keeping the birds out! Once I installed them, the birds came back for one season and tried for a few days to get through them but eventually gave up and moved on. Four stars because they were a little tricky to install. They are a very snug fit and required cutting the part that insets with tin snips so they could give a little. Even with that, it also required a mallet. I also used a 1 1/2 PVC end cap to go over the vent while hammering them in otherwise the vents will just get dented and the louvers will get smashed closed.

Great product
I replaced my existing 2inch round screens with this 2inch round louvers made of aluminum which is much sturdy and more permanent. Birds kept picking at the screen and eventually it was punctured and had to be replaced. The 2inch aluminum lovers were cheaper at Lowes but buying from Amazon was more convenient.

These things are great. I had four bird blocks that had the cheap netting destroyed, 12 holes. I could hear critters running around on the ceiling so I knew I 'should' to do something. I ordered the 2" vents to match the size of my bird block holes. The bird block holes weren't exactly a perfect circle and the vents wouldn't slide easily into the holes, not even a little. I bought a drum sander for my cordless drill. Since the bird holes were 2" I had to use a 1 ½" drum. It didn't take much to sand out the irregularities. I sanded until I could get the vents to just fit, by hand, snuggly and hold inside the hole, but not all the way in. Since I didn't have any PVC pipe lying around the house I took one of the vents to Home Depot. I found a 1 ½" PVC coupler that was perfect for the 2" vent. It fit on the lip of the vent without touching the louvers. Why it was labeled 1 ½" I know not. I can't find any diameter on the coupler that measures 1 ½". It works so I'm happy.Back home, I inserted the snuggly fitting vent inside the hole (louvers down), placed my PVC coupler on the vent lip, put a short 2x4 over the coupler (all with one hand mind you) and tapped it in with my hammer. I couldn't be happier with the results. All 12 holes are now sealed.I suppose I could have used tin snips like 'BD One' did but I didn't. I didn't need any caulking anywhere like Peripatetic did. These things are snug.To see what the dimensions are for this vent visit the manufacturers site:http://mflouver.com/content/rl-100-rlw-100-rlbl-100-rlb-100-seriesMy vents were shipped from ventmyhouse.com

Fits perfectly
The original screens stapled to the back of squash blocking between the rafter tails has become damaged since 1995. They no long keep birds or critter out. This fit in the 2" holes and was much cheaper than Home Depot. Excellent product.

They Work
If the hole is exactly 2 inches, they work great. If the hole is slight larger than 2 inches it is a little loose and won't stay in. I used some DAO Dynaflex Ultra to help hold it in place. I purchased the smallest tube (5.5oz) and cut the spout so that there was a very small hole for the sealant to come out. I then put a small bead of sealant around the flange of the metal vent on the side that comes in contact with the edge of the hole. Worked great, just don't use too much.
