Polish Cooking: Updated Edition: A Cookbook

I wish it still had the pictures of the dishes like the original edition but its still worth it.

I bought this book because the older version I have was getting worn with age and use. While this newer version has no photos, the recipes are excellent. They work ... accurate measurements, directions, etc.

Not enough pics (if any). Text hard to read.

The best Polish cookbook I've seen. Recipes are interesting, with a lot of variety within each category of food. And the ones I've tried so far are really delicious. Level of difficulty varies from super easy to difficult. A really nice selection of wonderful recipes.

I ordered Polish Cooking because a library book that I borrowed had such good recipies, with full color photos and glossy pages. also well bound. Imagine my disappointment to find this revised book , while it has the recipies, has no photos at all, the pages are soft inferior paper which tear easily and the book itself is poorly put together. If it wasn't for the fact that postage was over $10 to even get it and at least $15 to return it, I wd indeed return it. It is not worth the paper it took to put together. Sorry, no more books online for me.

If I saw this book in a book store I would never buy it. There are no pictures in this book. It is not appealing. I do not know know if any of the recipes are good because I just don't want to use it. I bought another book about polish cooking "From a Polish Country House" with beautiful color pictures and have already tried several of the recipes. Lesson learned sometime it is more expensive to get a book at the bookstore but worth it in the end.

I am Polish on my Dad's side. After trying Polish food in Poland, I wanted to try to recreate the experience. So far I have made egg bread filled with mushrooms for a wedding, and Christmas Pierogis. The pierogis were given approval frommy Polish Dad who grew up with Polish parents. My friend, who was born in Poland, also brought this book back with her because it is highly recommended and know for containing excellent translation.

Very good book , have seen a lot I want to try. They don't seem hard. Can't Wait to try them!!
