Compelling Read
A compelling story of an interesting entrepreneur who killed a man to defend his family and went to prison for it. He tells his story through significant events in his life, not in chronological order, adding color and depth and rounding out a complete picture of the man he is, and how in his case, justice was not served. He is a character – likable, funny, engaging, and successful in every business he tackled. His well-written story kept me turning the pages and wanting more. I highly recommend this book!

He stood his ground!
Bread and bullets takes you on a crazy journey through the life and experiences of a buisness man who was faced with a situation to kill or be killed. Protecting his family and himself was his motive but the courts made him out to be the bad guy. From buisness ventures, to courts and to prison, the author tells his version of it all and it makes you wonder what would you have done if you were faced with his situations. Its a fun read, filled with ups and downs, twists and turns which keeps you interested in the outcome.

Awesome book. I had the privilege to meet Rosario recently. He is a funny, sweet, caring and very personable. This book was incredible. What a story and miscarriage of justice. This was and is a warm and loving individual who really cares about his family and friends and really really cares about his family and fellow man. He is a credit to his family, friends and society. I would totally recommend this book to all who seek truth. This man is total truth!

My name is Jeff Kaplan. I personally met the author Rosario Liotta. He is a fascinating man with a fascinating story. I immediately ordered the book. I am 1/2 way through it. I cannot put it down. What'd I miss?
I was looking forward to reading this based on the synopsis. I like reading success stories and mob-related stories (yes, I know the author was not in the mob, but there are mentions of people I know who are). In any event, this book read like the author taped a random stream of consciousness at various intervals. Then a computer transcribed it and it went to print. There is not even a hint of "timeline". Everything is jumbled. I couldn't keep track of it. Lots of businesses started, succeed and then for one reason or another it goes belly up. Then there's this shooting. I am so confused; was his mother there or not? What was the reason for the shakedown? The bits on prison life were pretty interesting. This was like an 8th grader's essay. There are a lot of typos or just plain ignorance, I can't say. But really, a "tracker trailor"? I just keep shaking my head to think that this was even remotely edited by an educated person. I hope he didn't pay for it.
