The case the Android pad is in is easy to hold on to and has a rubber border that keeps it from scratching paint and sliding off of surfaces. I've just started using the device. There was a strange sequence when registering my username where the response came back as "lost internet connection". I tried to register again but now my username had been used. I finally realized that even though the message "lost internet connection" showed, it didn't really mean anything. My first attempt was successful. I did email the [email protected] twice yesterday and both emails were responded to. The tech support team at Launch is proving to be responsive and helpful. Launch already asked me if I have ideas to improve the product. I hooked the device to my 2006 Chevy Impala SS last night. It connected easily and grabs a lot of information. I like being able to activate things like cooling fan relays and the A/C compressor relay from the device. I like being able to disable individual injectors. I like being able to hook this up to the vehicle, start graphing PIDS, drive around and log the results and view them later. The log files can be sent to Launch and/or other sources for review and analysis. As I said, I haven't worked with the device much yet, but I will. I would like to see the device measure the voltage at the wheel speed sensors and show the voltage step function to better diagnose failing sensors. That function may require a scope type device which Launch may not have. I'll ask the tech guys and see. So far a great product for the price. I recommend this over any of the $200 ODB II scanners I've bought in the past. I suggest saving the money you might spend on regular ODB scanners and get this bi-directional scanner with so many more functions.

The equipment is very practical and easy to use. Really worth it . I have done various jobs on different classes of vehicles and it works great

From day 1 that used it which was a couple of days ago, I have to say I have already saved 8 times the cost of the LAUNCH computer.I diagnosed and fixed a 2017 Ford E450 RV. Dealer wanted over$4000 for parts that only cost me under $300 and easy to fix. Not to mention that I saved an additional $1000 for the the AC that I was able use the computer to test.I was able to diagnose and fix a 2004 BMW 525 by clearing and making adjustments to the computer module. I saved thousands by not taking it to the dealer.I can't wait to fix my daughters 2008 Audi A4 when I see her in college in a few weeks.Also will use to fix a 2004 Hummer H2.This has paid by itself multiple time over. Easy to use and very helpful. It is also useful as a tablet computer.

I found out about this scanner from my uncle. He has told me that the scanner has paid himself. He has also helped me out with it. We've done about 5 ecu swamps on cars and the scanner changed the VIN so we could use a used ecu saving not only us time but the customer money. I researched scanners and this scanner is by far the best for its price

Overall a very nice and extensive machine. I have a lot of previous experience as a technician using this type of Launch scanners and I can say that these machines definitely outperform other scanners out there in the U.S. market (specifically for European vehicles).I spent a lot of time trying to find an overall good professional scanner that would be affordable and based on research and personal experience, this is the best option for me. The quality, performance and price range is a win, win, win! Plus, if you throw 2 years of free updates AND a 5 year warranty on top of that, then it’s definitely a no brainer.The only thing that I am still working on to figure out exactly is printing out vehicle data reports through a wireless printer, but other than that, very happy with my purchase thus far.UPDATE!!After owning this scan for a little over a year now I started having some issues with it where it will keep restarting on its own. I tried reaching out to the manufacturer and they kept giving me the runaround and some un useful tips to try to resolve this issue, but now they are not even responding to my messages.So, alternatively I have reached out to Amazon customer service to try to get some type of solution as I started to feel like my money was not very well spent on this scan tool since the manufacture is not backing up the “5 year warranty” they offer on this product. Luckily, I came to an agreement with an Amazon customer service supervisor and will be returning the faulty product to them and at least get most of my money back after paying a restocking fee.This is a shame because this is a very powerful scan tool (when it works correctly), but definitely try to spend the extra money and buy it from a reputable retailer that will address any issues you might have with it here in the US and not have to deal with someone in China who will leave you stranded.

I have run the Launch 431X V+ on my 2009 Acura MDX so far, and was pleased with the results. I used the bidirectional controls to operate some of the systems on the car. I also ran the live data on the engine, and did a full health report on the vehicle with it. I find this tool very easy to use. Updating the software was easy after registering it. I’m happy with this purchase. One of the reasons picked this scanner was the ability it has to work with Launch’s Heavy Duty truck module. In the future I will be adding the Heavy Duty Truck module to this scanner to work on my Peterbilt truck.

This is very valuable tool it’s a real time saver well worth the money I had a slight issue with The updates almost a year after I purchase the tool customer service was quick to respond very kind and professional very happy with customer service they went above and beyond to correct the problem very satisfied

this scan tool does it all, super quick and easy to use, charge time is quick and has all the manufacturers that we deal with. we had a dinosaur of a scan tool and paid 5 times more for it at the time. love this one and the warranty is the icing on the cake !

セール等で安くなっていたので思い切って購入、診断機本体+プログラマーのセットとしてはお買得と思いました。到着後、アクティベートなども済ませ、AudiのTCUのクローン作製などやってみましたが、ちゃんとできました、診断機の方もAudi、BMW等繋ぎましたがVCIの通信速度の速さに感心しました、逆にいうと高度なオンラインコーディング、プログラミングをしなければ同社の最高峰のSmartLinkまでは必要ないかなと？メールの問い合わせも購入前と購入後にしましたが、レスポンスは良い方かなと思います。あとは無償アップデート期間が過ぎたあとのアップデート料金がどのくらいになるかですね、為替レートでだいぶ変わってくるので...。
