I Broke It, They Credited Me The Cost Of It!
When I bought a fancier smart watch to help me track my sleep so I could fix it, track my steps so I could get a good baseline to start building up my endurance after years of limited mobility and track my heart rate and oxygen levels too, money was very tight. It made a lot of sense to me to spend a little more for insurance just in case.Well, 18 months or so later, the screen on the watch broke when it came off with my hoodie when I pulled the sleeve really hard because it was stuck and I was overheating. Well, my watch landed screen down on the tile floor. I thought it was fine until I picked it up. 😬 oops! 🕸 spiderweb cracking on the screen and the touch screen function no longer responded. I was SO bummed!I remembered I had bought the watch on Amazon but I totally forgot about the insurance plan. Plus, frankly, it broke because I was careless not because of a malfunction. Why would insurance cover a stupid mistake?Well, I checked my Amazon purchase history so I could find the watch and hopefully be able to order a new one soon or drop a hint to a loved one 🙂Surprise, surprise, surprise! When I opened the item, it told me I had purchased a warranty from Asurion for it when I bought it AND it asked me if I needed to activate the warranty!!Yay!!! In the immortal word of Chandler Bing, "Could it BE any easier?" It linked me to file the claim. My phone number had changed but it let me enter the new one, no problem. They texted me immediately and asked what happened. I told them honestly that I screwed up and broke the screen. They said no problem and sent me a link to a prepaid UPS label to send it to them. The very same day I dropped it at UPS, I received an email that they'd credited my Amazon account.I was actually able to upgrade my replacement watch for the same price as my refund because it was on sale for Prime Day. Woo-hoo!! I couldn't be happier!

Worth every penny
I've bought many of these asurion warranties, and those of others, and they always seem like a waste of money, because all I got was an email at best, and never use them. However I finally got a chance to use one of the warranties and it was a breeze to use. The product I bought, only lasted 6 months, but that was less than its manufacturer warranty, so I got a refund on my product, as well as a refund on my warranty, because it was unused as it hadn't kicked in yet. It was well worth the $2, which was less than 10% of my product price. Technically it was never used, but they were quick to refund it, when I no longer needed it. I have no doubt that if my warranty had run out on my MP3 player, asurion would have paid off.

Christine made it incredibly easy for me to cash in my Protection Plan, speedy, knowledgeable, incredibly friendly, great attitude, excellent customer service. Really helped me take care of this in the most efficient manner, and blown away that she helped me arrange in-home pick up of the item as I struggle with chronic illness and I’m currently bedridden and it would’ve been difficult for me to make it to the UPS store. It’s unfortunate that more people don’t take the time to do the surveys because you guys really are the best, especially this agent, and people deserve to be rewarded for their good service. Worst experience.
This was the worst accident protection plan I've ever purchased. I bought it for a pair of headphones. Well, the headphones fell off of my neck while mowing the yard and they got caught in the blade. They were ripped apart, but I was relieved knowing I had purchased a protection plan. So I called and spoke to a woman on the phone who said, "This is what accident protection plans are for!" Yet the next day, my claim was denied. So I spoke to someone via chat and asked why my claim was denied, to which she said that my claim should have been approved. She put me on hold while she approved it. I later received an email saying my claim was denied AGAIN. So again, I contacted them via chat to ask why my claim was denied. The third person I spoke to said they couldn't help me and told me to call the claims department the next day. I shouldn't have to contact these people FOUR times over a simple claim, and it still may not get approved. I'm not happy at all, and next time I will 100% go with the Allstate protection plan.

perfect warranty for unknown electronics
I love to purchase these warranties for max period when trying a new brand of electronics. Reviews are mostly fake now, so I want to test, but 90 days isn't enough for most electronics I pay for. For just a few extra $ I can ensure I get at least a year out of them, or I get my money back. Excellent deal for the new supply chain of products!
