Quite Different than a Birkenstock, comparasion
In the 90's and early 2000's I had multiple pair of birkenstocks. I purchased another pair several years ago when I had plantar fasciitus. The birkenstocks fully healed the problem several years ago. The pain came back. I didn't keep my old shoes. sadly. Recently I ordered Betulas because of the price difference. I fully assumed the footbed would be the same kind of support At the end of the first week wearing my Betulas, which I liked I was given a new pair of Birkenstocks. After a few days and looking more closely I found quite a few differences in comparing the 2 shoes. If a person has no foot issues I would highly recommend the Betulas. If you have foot issues I would highly recommend Birkenstocks. The footbed, bottom rubber portion and outershape of the Betula is different. The toe bar in the Betulas is slight compared to the Birkenstock. The inner and outer arch gives much less support in the Betulas. The heel support does not hug the heel like the Birkenstock. Also other differences that were not really important to me were that it was not made out of leather (knew that), the outer shape had a more straight up and down cheaper looking shape, attention to detail was not there. The leather of the Birkenstocks comforts nicer to the foot than the synthetic manmade of the Betulas. Also the feel of the footbed seemed different, it didn't seem like suede. The rubber or rubber like bottoms look and feel different. I was wearing nicer flip flops all the time, so Betulas and Birkenstocks are much nicer and offer better support. One thing to mention is that with both Betulas and the Birkenstocks your foot needs time to get used to wearing these shoes. Do not buy them and walk long distances right away. Take some time to get your feet used to them. For the plantar issue, the edge of the pain is going away. I hopeful in another month maybe it will be better. After a few weeks of wearing these shoes at least a few hours daily I still cannot wear them all day long. These definitely are a nice shoe to have. I would suggest if you have foot issues to order the birks and a good pair of quality athletic shoes at the very least. I would highly suggest getting fit for the correct size locally for birkenstocks or betulas before ordering online. I do think there is a difference between a N and a normal size footbed. I do not think everyone can wear a N, they do not feel the same at all.

This things are the BOMB.
No seriously. If you are even thinking about attempting them, absolutely do it. They are the comfiest sandals I've ever owned and I've bought sandals that cost twice this much. I am not one to scrimp when it comes to footwear because I cannot STAND uncomfy feet. The foot bed of this sandal is so soft and smooth. There was no breaking in process. They fit like a glove (after adjusting the straps to my very wide feet) and there is no rubbing/chafing whatsoever. I had awkward, wide feet and these fit like a dream. Even if you have a narrow foot, the straps are completely adjustable. This is my first pair of Birkenstocks and while I was ready to pay the higher price of the 'normal' Birkenstocks, I decided to try this one out first because it was so much cheaper and am I glad I did! The brown is so nice and rich looking. I've had several compliments on these shoes. I can't wait for it to stay warm so I can live in them all the time! Because I definitely don't want to take them off. I wish I could wear them year round, but clearly not a good shoe for the snow. Wonderful, comfy, attractive shoe. You won't be disappointed.

I am not certain that this shoe is a Birkenstock?
I ordered this shoe thinking it was a birkenstock however the shoe that came had a different name on it. Much less comfortable than a birkenstock and I have 4 pairs so I know how they feel.

Okay, but not worth the price
I dont consider these to be worth $50. My husband purchased these (after i sent them to him as a birthday idea) for my birthday. I should have read the description more. These are not leather, but a composite materials. They are okay for comfort, but i found the footbed to be a bit hard and my feet hurt after a while of standing in them. I wish i had just purchased birkenstocks - i think i ended up paying more for a brand association.Pros: Nice looking, wide footbed, okay for comfort, seem relatively durable.Cons: $50 is overpriced, not leather, just okay for comfort, hard sole.

Authentic and fast shipping
They appear absolutely authentic to me, and for this price, that’s *fantastic!* Shipped fast, exactly what I ordered, and they are in a Betula box with German on it and appear in every way true Birks. Feel super comfortable as they should! Will definitely buy again.

Best Ever!
My podiatrist recommends I wear Birkenstocks, or similar, as much as possible; hence, I have 10 pairs. The tenth pair is this Betula, and is by far the most comfortable sandal I have ever had on! From the very first time I slid my foot in, it has become my favorite! Now when my Birks wear out, I'm replacing them with Betulas! Love them, absolutely!

Last pair did not wear like original birkenstocks I have.
For the price get 2 for the cost of one original Birkenstocks they are an excellent buy. They don't seem to wear as well and the heels wear down quicker then original Birkenstocks. Same fit and comfort so for the money it's a excellent choice.

Love them!
Just buy them already! I love my other Birkenstocks and figured I would try these since they were such a good price and I have to say I'm not mad about these sandals at all! For half the price of my other pairs they are just as well made and dare I say possibly more comfortable.
