Works!
Horrid though it is, sometimes the moles have to go... these are the de facto best mole traps, easy to set (but be careful - they are VERY strong and WILL damage your fingers! On the plus side, I suspect (hope) that means moley death is swift and comparatively painless. Have caught several over the last 12 months as a vacant plot tends to be invaded by a newcomer - this time I think I'll smoke bomb the run in the hope of deterring yet another unwitting victim.Never failed to catch a mole within 2 days with these though....

The best traps on the market
These are by far the best traps on the market and while they are very expensive compared to the cheaper brands they are worth the money. That being said if you use pliers to slightly adjust the trigger to make it a bit more sensative you will get far better results.I've used maybe 10 different brands of trap and the flat pack are the best, they also last years.

Worked first time. Very happy.
Our 'mole man' sadly passed away. He always used these traps so I thought I'd gamble and have a go myself. I think it is worth investing time in learning how to [YouTube videos were fine] because it worked the first time. Summary of best advice [I think], wear gloves [scent & finger snapping], learn how to identify 'mid run' [important this bit] using a probe rod [I bought one with a wider end - but a stick of metal would work], dig a snug hole, remove debris and make the channel inside super smooth, use soil to make trap 'light proof' - use a flag on top. Bingo.

Too hard to set
Gloves must be worn when setting or risk finger damage! Much too difficult to set properly without injury and the triggers all have to be adjusted with pliers in order to to be at the correct sensitivity. This in turn makes them more difficult to set as they invariably go off whilst trying to do so. The happy medium is very hard to achieve. Shame really as they are well made and likely to be durable but the lack of a "failsafe" setting system makes them destined for my re-claim bin.

Excellent product
I have used the cheaper and flimsier make for some years, but these are super professional. They are well made, sturdy, and I find easier to set than the cheaper type. That's not to say the spring is any less effective, but probably because of the standard of manufacture, they are far better to set, and don't just fire off in your hand like the others.Excellent product and fast delivery.

Good but easy to foul catch a mole
They are definitely more likely to catch a mole, however they seem more likely to maul one and foul catch it on its paws. Not very nice as you will have an injured live animal to dispatch. You should check the traps regularly as it would be a bit cruel to leave an animal like this. However, they are more effective than the scissors type traps and quicker to trap with.

MADE IN YORKSHIRE!
Ordered on a Friday, delivered on a Monday afternoon. Traps set less than 1 hr later - checked on the Tuesday morning (less than 24hrs later) - RESULT!! The critter destroying my flowerbeds is no more. A sturdy well constructed product which does exactly what it says on the tin. Easy to be safely set and can be used straight from the box without any "weathering" being required. I cannot recommend this product strongly enough & will definitely be ordering from this seller again. Thank you.
