This product could literally save your life. With a lot of national initiatives on stopping bleeding in response to mass shootings this product is a great deal. The CAT tourniquet the military uses is basically the same thing at a brand name price. The quality of this device is enough to do the job in the unlikely event you need it, so economically it makes sense to me. The key to using this effectively is to apply it as tightly as you can get it with just the Velcro before you snug it up with the windlass until bleeding is controlled. If you don't get it tight initially it doesn't work as well.

Better to have and not need, than to need and not have. Luckily I have not had to use any of my new tourniquets yet. They seem to be similar quality at a much better price than the more expensive combat application tourniquets I have used in the past. I have used everything from ropes, belts, and tourniquets to stop severe bleeding from the arms and legs before. I would much rather use this C.A.T. style tourniquet though. It is purpose made, and easy to use.

Materials seem up to par, feels and works solid. Tested it out on my leg and within seconds of locking it, my leg had already lost full circulation. I carry one with me and in each vehicle, I think if you need a inexpensive kit, this is it. Worth the purchase.

Product came as listed. I use these for MCI, and daily carry. They are sturdy and while I fortunately have not had to use them I believe they will hold up just fine based on thier build quality.

A great addition to anyone's first aid kit.

Hope I never have to use but I know it will be dependable if needed.
