How does Asurion get away with this?
The policy specifically excludes accidental damage for all but electronics whereas the website advertises that accidental damage is covered for all portable products.Further, the policy excludes all misuse and abuse. Accidents are, by definition, either misuse or abuse.Something is not right in paradise.

the email of the plan should say what product it is for so.
They send you an email but it doesn't say which product it is for. So when I save it to my files, the only way to tell but it's for is the purchase date.So three years ago when I go to look it up I have to know the date. That's much harder than knowing which product I bought it for. Maybe even impossible years from now.

where is my money
I tried to cancel for refund because the product I purchased for this protection planwas damaged and returned. I never got my money back from Asurion

No warranty received
I ordered this and it said I was to get an email delivery of the warranty. I have not received any email on this.

Wasted my money!
Bought this for peace of mind when I purchased 2 Sunbeam Heated Blankets at Christmas. In February when one stopped working, I called in to get a replacement. That's not how it works! Twenty minutes jacking with Amazon and now I have to send my old blanket back and wait on a credit. I just wanted a replacement quick as we have the coldest weather in 80 years in my area. What a waste of money, time and TRUST.

Probably useless
I have paid for several of these Asurion protection Plans for different products.The only claim I have ever had made it obvious that the coverage is "iffy" and probably a waste of money.My claim was for an electric blanket which quit heating. First they told me I had to contact the manufacturer and then said no I could just send the whole blanket back to them. Seems like a piece of the blanket in an envelope would have been enough and certainly not have to pack and ship the whole blanket.

Returning the item that this was purchased for and being told that it's too late to return this.
I dislike that I wasted money on this, NEVER AGAIN. I WILL NEVER WASTE MY MONEY ON CRAPPY PROTECTION PLANS THAT CHARGE YOU EVEN WHEN YOU END UP RETURNING THE ITEM.JUST FYI, I'm returning the item not because it didn't work but because the description was wrong about the 'fit' of the item.

A good thing to add, because you just never know.
Anytime we have a problem with an item that we have bought an extended warranty/protection plan for, we have been extremely pleased. I don't understand why others have so much trouble. As long as you follow the rules and don't act like a "Richard" then the reps at the company will take care of you. I have had a TV the died, called at 4pm, emailed the receipt and had the gift card for the amount of the item, minus the warranty price, by 7pm. I have used their service on numerous items and never a problem..
