Yoga for Fat Guys: From Lumpy to Limber in Just Six Weeks

Good starter Yoga book
Overall good book as an intro. They only provide a couple exercises / stretches so it doesn't get too overwhelming to get started. Use this if never done and can at least get in habit to get started especially at the low cost. It doesn't use Yoga names and created their own "fun" names for poses such as "Atlas Stance" or telling you to stand like X-Men's Wolverine. Eventually user will need to update to another for more exercises.Unfortunately, they don't provide exercise routines to follow as that falls solely on the user. Would be nice if they gave a couple options to flow through exercises so you know how to progress or at what point to consider next level.

One slight problem...
So, how is someone who is rather tall (I would have this problem even if I was still skinny; I'm 6'3") supposed to do the "Sampson" pose in a normal doorway? I can brace my elbows against the door jam, but not my hands (my elbows would need to break/crush things in my torso in order to do what the picture is showing). But doing this on my elbows (instead of my hands) feels wrong. I can sort of do it in a hallway, but then I worry about whether or not the walls are as sturdy as the the door jam.(otherwise, good book)

I can measure a significant difference in my performance and level of pain
If you are a career couch potato who is ready for a change, this book will show you a way. You will feel better without being in pain. After a month, I can measure a significant difference in my performance and level of pain.

Meh....worth $6, I guess
The book makes sense. It seems like it will be a decent program and I like the pragmatic approach. However, the sources are dubious and the syntax is heavily lacking.

I love it.
As a big man who hasn't exercised in a while, this was very inspirational. Sure, this is not a end all solution, but it definitely got me inspired to try other things and become more active. After doing a few stretches for a few days, I'm starting to feel good. Yoga is not just for the bendable, in shape people and this book proved that.

It wasn't really what I was expecting. Instead of ...
It wasn't really what I was expecting. Instead of a professional yoga instructor sharing poses and routines adapted for fat guys, it's one said fat guy sharing his poses inspired by his research into yoga poses. There's nothing particularly wrong with that; I just had other expectations.

Best avoided.
This is a small pamphlet type book. The movements are not clearly explained or illustrated. Best avoided.

Missing some key info
I found it good, but lacking in how you should implement a program. Still helpful but would suggest a bit of Internet research to go along with it.
