Conquer - Clara and Alexander's Drive to Overcome Obstacles
In book one of Geneva Lee’s Royals Saga, Prince Alexander commanded Clara Bishop’s body and then her heart, dictating what she gave him and when, and while that worked for Clara through much of the book, at the end, Clara exerted her independence and walked away from the man who freed her in so many ways because she couldn’t be a kept secret, and she couldn’t get past all of the secrets he was keeping from her, even if some of them were for her own good.As Conquer Me begins, Clara is dealing with the aftermath of losing the love of her life, existing as best she can. By exerting her self worth, Clara crushed her heart, but she knows there are limits to what she is willing to endure for love, and without actions on Alexander’s part, his promises mean nothing to her. But what she doesn’t know as she tries to traverse her lonely existence and not go back to old habits is that Alexander misses and craves her just as much as she does him and when that information comes to light, Clara will have to decide if she can willingly give her body and soul to Alexander again and face the letdown that may occur again due to Alexander’s obligation to his country, his duties to his family, and the many people who refuse to acknowledge her position next to him.The idea of being conquered is a multi-layered concept for both Clara and Alexander, and its applicability reaches further than just their relationship. Clara must overcome her self doubt, her inability to control every situation, her need to know all of Alexander’s secrets, and her anxiety of what being a part of Alexander’s “real” world means for her and her life. Alexander must surmount the obstacles in his path due to his royal obligations and his father’s manipulation as well as prevail against Clara’s frees and insecurities. It’s a tangled web that Alexander must commandeer around but at the end of it if it means having the one woman who helps to conquer his demons and satisfy his body as well as his soul then it’s worth all of the torment and disruptions that overwhelm him.Conquer Me is a great follow up to Command Me and delves deeper into the sensual relationship that exists between Alexander and Clara. The chemistry between them is still at the forefront of the text and the way Alexander commands Clara’s body proves exactly how sexually compatible they are. Getting snippets of Alexander’s point of view also adds to the dynamics of the text, offering necessary insight into his true feelings and what he’s willing to do to claim the woman who owns him even more than she truly understands. There is a lot of outside pressure closing in on Clara and Alexander that threatens to put another divide between them, forcing Alexander to seduce Clara’s body to get what he wants, and while that is how he’s used to getting his way, there’s more to their relationship now, and I would have liked it examined a bit more by them opening up to each other, giving in to more than just their sexual impulses. I’m sure, though, that that will come with time and truths revealed, which I will be anxiously waiting for in Crown Me.A complimentary copy was provided in exchange for an honest review.4 poison apples

My favorite of the Royals Saga!
This is my favorite out of the three stories of Clara & Alexander. This book has so much character development and growth. Sure, there are a lot of steamy scenes, but Alexander and Clara have a relationship, not just sex. There's a plot line outside of just sex. There are things happening in each character's life that affects their relationships.Though I will admit, the sex is absolutely spectacular. Incredibly hot scenes there and well-written without being too cliché. There are a few authors that I like their plot lines but their sex scenes are so full of cliches they drive me nuts. Not true with Geneva Lee’s books. The woman knows how to write a hot, steamy sex scene without using all those over done cliches. The King is making no qualms about letting his opinion of their relationship be known. As far as he's concerned, Clara's just a tart that Alexander is screwing. The Royal Brat Pack (as Clara calls them) are being as mean as ever. And to top it off, all is not well in Clara's parents' marriage. All of this, plus Clara's job and the threat of her ex-boyfriend is looming large between them, but through all of it, Alexander and Clara seem to grow stronger together instead of being torn apart. Alexander's never thought of himself as being capable of loving anyone, but after a traumatic event, he learns that he just can't fight it anymore and finally admits to himself and to Clara that he loves her.

Powerful, undeniable drama and sexiness!
I strongly recommend this series be read in order and that Command Me be read first.Clara has been thrust into the limelight with the paparazzi because of her dalliances with Alexander. This does not exactly create a solid foundation for a new relationship especially after all the bumps along the way in Command Me.The drama continues as we pick up right after Command Me. More secrets drive a wedge between Alexander and Clara’s new romance. Although it seems like this romance is a fairytale, don’t forget that most fairytales are not without drama, pain, hurt, tears and more. The emotions continue to run high, the sex is still a force to be reckoned with and the worshipping continues. The hotness became a little ho-hum for me and I wanted more of the story than just the action. What I loved about Conquer Me: the characters are still complex, loveable and have a story worth telling. The fairytale part of the story contains the evil witch and struggles for a happily ever after.Alexander is commanding, powerful and undeniable and yet Clara continues to conquer both her past and Alexander. There are more branches to this saga than only Alexander and Clara, and I love seeing the other characters have their own story to tell and have such an important role in this book.4.0 salacious stars

Enjoying the story
I'd like to say first that I don't enjoy the explicit nature of the book and I actually skip over those parts, but the story itself is so good that I have to know what happens next. The sex scenes - in my opinion are not needed, but I realize that some readers actually like that part best. That is part of the reason I didn't give the book 5 stars - but the other reason contains a SPOILER... Don't read further if you don't want a scene ruined for you.----I was VERY confused at the scene at the party where Lola was caught kissing Andrew. It was never explained or revisited. All of a sudden, Andrew has "come out" and he and David are in a happy relationship. Maybe part of the book didn't come through on my Kindle copy? I actually went back to re-read because it was so weird. Surely there would have been a conversation between Clara and Lola about it?Anyway, it was aggravating to me. It seemed like it was just stuck in there for no reason. I do enjoy the story line of these books very much and perhaps I shouldn't judge it on the fact that it has explicit sex scenes, but I have to be honest as to why I'm not giving it a higher score.

X
I didn’t love this as much as I did book 1 which I read as X in Alexander POV….Sometimes I felt Alex wasn’t all in as much I felt he was in first book. …. Maybe that’s the difference in POV …Onto the 3rd though to see how this pans out …. The last chapter left me a little puzzled ? …..

RIGHT ROYAL MESS
Second book in the series and carried on the story from the first book the continuing story of royals who are so messed up its unbelievable but Alexander and Clara are trying hard to be together against all odds including their own nightmares. The family hate Clara except for Edward but he has his own problems to contend with, and the story continues in book three.
