Fantastic brush
Omega is a classic brand - and although this is my first brush, I definitely have to say I notice a very distinct difference shaving. Glad I picked it up and definitely suggest it

Fell apart on the first shave.
During my first shave the bottom half of the handle came off and won't stay on.

Not for me, WAY too soft
Omega is a major name in shaving/personal care, but to me, this item "fell flat." Literally. Relatively portable size (could use for travel, depends on the size of your kit, still a bit big for mine) - overall height/length 98 mm [3.9"], loft 50 mm, handle 48 mm. The handle is 2 piece as shown in pix - hollow handle, clear color at the bottom. I got a green one - you can't specify color (maybe that's why cost is lower?), which was a little annoying but hey, the price "is right." Where this lost it for me is that when the description says "soft," they are NOT kidding. Like NO, ZERO "backbone." The bristles seem to just literally melt against my face, splaying everywhere. And given the loft, it covers a lot of real estate on the face when it flares out! Functionally this means, IMHO, that you have almost no control over where the shaving cream is going! It's not that it's unusable, some reviewers clearly like/love it. However there's one review that says it has a backbone - caveat emptor - that review shows a DIFFERENT BRUSH (look closely at the helpful picture that person posted). This brush has the "backbone" of a jellyfish. Great price, but make sure you want SOFT. REALLY soft. It's going to the bottom of my group; doubt I'll ever use it again, at least not for applying shaving cream! Probably a good little duster, maybe for a computer keyboard?

Almost to soft!
Good brush for the money. Softest brush I have ever had. So soft it almost to soft. Have not noticed any loss of bristles.

See picture: Good backbone, decent lather making synthetic brush.
This red Omega S synthetic brush has been in my wish list for quite some time and when it went on sale I finally picked it up. I just about always shave with a brush, and over the years have used both badger and boar hair brushes. I have found that for me, badger brushes are the softest, they hold the most water and lather creams the best; boar brushes are harder bristled, have more backbone for scrubbing and lathering soaps the best. They both stink like animal musk when you first get them but after a week or two the smell is gone forever.Using this synthetic brush brings a lot of benefits and a few downsides; plus no animals are involved. This Omega brush lathers nicely, with a feeling more like the stiffer boar hair. It comes out of the box with no smell, no shedding and it is a nice size...not too small that it doesn't cover area, but not too big that you can't maneuver it around your nose. It holds significantly less water than natural hair brushes and lathers a bit less productively, but overall I really like the feel of this brush and, for a pretty low price, am glad I added it to my options. I attached a picture of this brush next to my Tweezerman badger brush and my Omega PRO boar brush for reference. My personal preference based on lathering and beard preparation is Boar > Synthetic > Badger. Go the opposite way if you prioritize brush softness and lathering comfort over intended function. Good luck.

Bristles are too long
which makes it difficult to splay while face lathering.
