Incense Shanthimalai Nag Champa - 500 Gram Red Box Boxes

This is a heavy, musky red Champa with light cinnamon overtones that I simply love. I was pleased to see the larger sizes box, but use it sparingly as the price is quite high. It does support a women's charity in India which takes a bit of the sting off because of the high price. I do recommend it.

I have tried all of the well known brands and other colored boxes of Nag Champa incense out there but IMHO none compare Shanthimalai. Some prefer the floral sweetness that is inherent to some of the largest sellers of Nag Champa, however, I always shy away from sweet in favor of spice. This incense has such a complex richness that it completely relaxes and recharges and stimulates my senses all at the same time. It has become my absolute favorite and to be without it, for even a day, is unthinkable...I seriously thought twice about posting this should it become so popular that I am unable to obtain it for myself. But not to share one of the few truly amazing things that always delivers happiness to my life would be a sin. Try some, but just a little, and maybe save it for just your more special occasions...this way we can all be happy!

After receiving several boxes of substandard incense from several different sellers, I've come to the conclusion that it is in no way the seller's fault. The incense in this box was grey and smelled of mold, as did several boxes I'd bought from other sellers of this same brand of incense, which is actually one of my favorites.I don't know if the manufacturer knowingly sold off old, defective stock or if it was accidental, but either way, they put lots of garbage out for sale.I'm glad to say that the recent shipments of this incense that I've received have been back to their old, high-quality standards. But, this 500 gram box was an expensive mistake. I ended up having to throw it away because it was absolute trash.
