I was looking for rayon raffia for a crocheting project: making a sun hat. This worked out quite well. I ordered 3 spools. Two came with clear plastic around them and one did not. The one without the plastic covering was more faded than the others.The strength of the material was just what I had hoped for, but I am a little disappointed that the hat is slightly two toned. However, I assume that all of the raffia will fade in the sun so perhaps it will eventually all be the same color.

I started using wraphia craft ribbon as part of my gift wrap many years ago in lieu of other types of ribbon like satin, curling, or wired. I usually take a couple of different colors and wrap them around a package/present and loop them generously to create a huge bow. These ribbons do exactly the trick, and are thicker and more durable than some of the other raffia type ribbons I've purchased from local craft stores. I wish they didn't cost so much, but they do last quite a while.

It says in the listing but it should say in the title that it is not Raffia (implication: Raffia Paper) but in fact is 1" wide plastic scrunched up to look like raffia paper. It's fine, but I bought it for a baby's birthday celebration and this is a choking hazard. My fault for not reading in detail before buying; their fault for not putting plastic in the title of the item so let's split the difference at 3 stars. Also the tape used to bind the spool when torn off tears the raffia, so the first ring of it is destroyed...

Wow i had never used wraphia before but for now on I'm huck a little expensive for what it is you have to be careful because it brakes easily

Does not look 100 yards. Very cheap!

Very waxy filmy to it and does not curl easy like most raffia ribbon I've used. Also, not a craft colour at all, more of a grayish/dull color.

Midway through the roll the raffia is a different colour and its broken

I used it to decorate candles and found it so easy to work with.

I love the colour. I think it looks exactly like the picture. I'm really happy with it.
