Attention homebrew stuff, your description is misleading. In the product description it says flat, later it says domed. This is a decent kit, but I would have preferred a domed screen as it is described in the product details. Also, the dip tube is too long for keggle conversion. I checked the keg first and it was concave, but I still ended up cutting off 3/4" of an inch for it to fit correctly.

Not vary efficient in a mash tun but it is good for a whole hop filter in the boil kettle
I gave it four stars because although it did not work vary well for what I bought it for I did find a good use for it. I bought this with the intention of using it in my mash tun that I was building using a keg shell. However the 10" diameter is vary small for a 16 gal keg. It is not as efficient because it sits so low in the concave bottom of the keg that half of you mash is not sitting on the false bottom it is resting on the side walls of the concave bottom of the keg. I have found a better way to go for a mash tun is to use one that is 12"-13" in diameter and and cut it in half and add hinges so that it can be folded and taken out. You can then drill a hole in it and use the same type of stainless tubing to reach the bottom of the keg. This way all of you mash is sitting on the false bottom and your sparge water can be drawn more evenly through more of you mash. This small 10" design did work well in the bottom of my boil kettle (also a converted keg) as a hop filter.

Installs relatively easily. Quality parts
Installs relatively easily. Quality parts. Be careful with measurements. First attempt made the hole too high. No problem, that became the HLT. Next one I got it right.

My Homebrew set-up works great, and this is a big part of it. Efficient and easy to clean.

Some issues with seal...
I ended up using the nut and washers from Thermabob adapters that I ended up not needing for my thermometers. I had teflon taped and tried with and without the steel washers, but had some issues getting a real good seal on it. Also the diptube ended up being about an inch too long length wise. The last thing I will also mention, is that the end wasn't flared, so the compression fittings can fall off if you aren't careful, and the instructions do not mention anything about setting the compression fitting.

Good hardware, bad seals....
This is a great combination of some hardware that works good for converting the keg into a kettle or mash tun. From some of the other reviews, it seems it's not well designed for mash tun usage since the false bottom is considerably smaller than the bottom of the keg, limiting the surface area to drain your mash. Furthermore, the seals they provide for sealing the equipment to the keg are GARBAGE. They're soft silicon and just squish out of the way when you tighten the fittings. DO NOT BUY THIS UNLESS YOU HAVE A BETTER WAY TO SEAL THE FITTINGS TO THE KEG. Personally, I'm going to make an attempt at welding the fitting to the keg in hopes of salvaging my $75 dollars.

good stuff
I am very impressed with quality of product, only drawback is the seals, they are flat round style, and when trying to seal on a keggle it does not seal well. would prefer high-temp o-ring style seals
