Minimal itchy scalp. The colour is darker than I expected

Lost my hair to cancer and after some hair growth wanted to add some colour to cover unwanted grey hair lol. This is vegan and so gentle on newly grown hair. No hair fell out using this which is what I was worried about. Would thoroughly recommend using this if you've lost your hair because of chemotherapy, it's so gentle on your hair and scalp

I am more than pleased with my first purchase of Naturtint Hair Colour, from all the products I researched this appeared the kindest for my newly grown and sensitive hair after chemotherapy. I lost my hair completely and waited patiently for it to grow back to a point that I could colour it. It had returned almost completely grey, dry and brittle. I was very apprehensive about what product to use so as not to further damage the hair but definitely wanted to use something because as it was, it was making me feel old before my time and after going through all that horrendous and at times brutal treatment which gives your body image the ultimate battering, I wanted at least some of my confidence, sparkle and glow back. This product did the trick, my hair may be short but the resulting colour (4M/Mahogany Chestnut) was so vibrant and luscious and made me smile the biggest smile upon looking in the mirror. It is such a deep and rich shade and I wasn't expecting that from something free of harsh chemicals and made with 99% natural ingredients, I was dubious as to whether it would cover the strong and stubborn grey but it absolutely did! Application was a breeze, I mixed only half the mixture to a ratio of 1:1 in a separate applicator bottle and it was more than enough for my short hair so I have enough for another session when the need arises. It was gentle on my scalp and so nourishing on my hair, after just one application , not only was my hair a gorgeous colour it was soft, smooth and conditioned. The after colour quinoa conditioner mask included is integral to the whole colouring process and for a perfect finish so definitely not a step to be skipped and the generous amount means it can be used a good few times afterwards to keep your colour looking it's best. Naturtint may well be a little on the pricey side compared to some others on the market but I will 100% be purchasing again because to me it was worth every penny, it was kind and gentle on my 'new' hair which had grown back in a sad and sorry state. It has not only given my hair new colour but also a new lease of life. The fact I can get two applications from the one pack whilst my hair is still only short is a welcome bonus but when it grows longer (fingers crossed) and needs the entire contents to suffice, I will still be more than happy to purchase because it is a superior, vegan product of exceptional standard, enriched with organic oils and natural ingredients and my hair is most definitely worth it, as am I! Definitely easier on the pocket than a trip to the salon. So many stunning colours to choose from is a joy and I may well experiment in the future but for now this is my perfect shade. I've used this brand before and really loved it, but in the intervening years, I've bleached my hair repeatedly. From dark brown to white blonde, to blue, to white, to red, back to white, to blue again, then blonde, then grey, then lilac....in short succession...I don't actually know how I'm not bald. My hair grows really fast, but it's so trashed it snaps off at the ends faster than it's growing out at the roots. I've spent the past 4 months debating what to do about my abused hair, and yesterday had the late night ADHD impulse to try a more natural colour, because I just cba with the bleaching (I go into anaphylaxis every time I forget to take antihistamines 😂 -which outlines exactly how reckless I get with my hair), and I want to try to get my it in better condition, and for it to grow longer...so prior to dying with naturtint we had 3 inch roots (mainly dark brown with pure white badger stripes at my temples), dark lilac permanent dye in a 2 inch band below the regrowth, and a mix of lilac and silver through the lengths, down to my shoulders...absolute filth! I was just hoping the first application would go some way to covering up the horrors, and expected I'd need another coat in a few days but it's completely evened all the different tones and colours out. I didn't use a colour stripper beforehand and it's a pretty spot on match to the colour on the packaging(dark ash blonde)...and while I'm going to have to grow out the trashed ends, because nothing on earth can save them, they are still definitely in the best condition they've been in, in a very long time. Would recommend 👌

I started using this product a few years ago and I love it. I doubt I will ever get my hair professionally colored again. People stop me on the street to tell me how pretty my hair is! Wow. I don’t miss the damage and brittleness at all. I do miss the packets of shampoo and conditioners they used to put in the box. I prefer those to the heavy quinoa cream, but it’s not that big of a deal.

The semi-permanent dye provided excellent gray coverage while keeping my hair soft and shiny, with no harsh chemical smell. I also loved the color-refreshing shampoos, which maintained my color vibrancy and added shine. Overall, these products are a fantastic choice for anyone looking to enhance their aging hair while keeping it healthy!
