Metal Detecting Journal Paperback – December 9, 2013

This paperback edition contains 26 heavy weight physical pages, printed double sided, offering 50 journal entry pages. Each page is a wide ruled form that provides a heading row for the "date" and "location", a section entitled "items found" with 7 ruled lines across the page's width, and is concluded with a section, entitled "notes of interest" consisting of 12 ruled lines across the page's width. As I do with every paperback book that I expect endurance from, I immediately covered it with clear contact paper. Doing so protects the front, back, and binding from excess wear and adds a small amount of weather resistance, especially since this type of book is likely to get carried along on treasure hunting adventures. I have owned this book for over a year and have only made 14 entries in it so far. I usually make notes at the end of a trip, so I can list a final count of the number of each type of item found. I even make notes on the weather and the number of bottle caps, pull tabs, and assorted junk, because it gives me an idea of the sort of trash I might need to be aware of on future trips to the same locations. For any special items I find, I also make a note of the description of where the item was located on the property being hunted. Overall, I am pleased with it.

This is a nicely laid out book but I can't help but feel that for it's intended purpose, it would be better in hardcover.

was sorely disappointed when I received this item. cheap, cheap, cheap. I gave it as a gift and was embarrassed.

Much thinner than anticipated for the price.

A very poor quality item. A pound shop book would be sturdier. It was thin and flimsy and for nearly 6 quid i would expect premium paper and a rigid bound book. Poor value for money and not worth it. As soon as i I opened the box i was disgusted at the cheek of the price to the item.The inside of the book , the principle of it is what i wanted for my son's new metal detecting ventures, but I could print the same stuff and stick it in a sturdy book and it would look nicer - do not buy this item , you will be disappointed.Improve this item or list it as a thin paperback. Not fit for purpose

Not very good value for money very plain. If i had realised that then i wouldn't have ordered it. Quite disappointed as its supposed to be a birthday present.
