If buying as areplacement, study the centres of the faceplate fixing holes which are very likley different from the older one you ar replaceing. This may not be a problem, but you need to to take a look first. Secondly these newer vesrsons screw the decorative faceplate onto thr lock mechanism using the same screws as those securing the lock - the faceplate may consequntly not sit quite so comforatbly flat onto the edge of the door as the old one, especially if the iold screw holes were slightly differntly centred or the screw holes in the wood not perpendicular. None of this is a reaosn for not buying, but just to warn you that yuour new lock may not look quite as neat on the edge of the door as the old one, unless you are a clever carpenter.
