Great cables for SM7B + Focusrite
I know everyone says cables are cables, but that just isn't true. Yes, when playing guitar, the cable quality was far less important, but for vocal work, good quality XLRs are crucial. I record voice overs using the Shure SM7B with a cloud lifter and Focusrite scarlet 2i2. I was getting a terrible wavy line at the very top of the spectral view of the audio, and after using different interfaces and amps, I was worried it was my mic. Before contacting Shure, I thought I better change the cables for something better quality.These cables completely cleaned the audio up with the lowest electrical interference I have seen. Fool on me I suppose, spent 6-700 quid on recording equipment, then cheaped out on £5 cables, what an idiot.Anyway, if you are getting interference on your audio, definitely give these a try.
