Great product! Definitely a time saver VS using ordinary sponge!
First off this is my first time ever doing any kind of Faux painting. I originally purchased a bag of sponges and this roller sponge because I wasn’t sure which one would work better. Well to sum it up I ended up using this roller sponge because the ceiling are the higher ones and I was able to put an extension on the roller. Overall I have to say that I’m extremely pleased because just the time alone it saved me vs using just a regular sponge. I cleaned the sponge and it still has life to it for more future projects. Great product at a decent price.

Quality, but small
Smaller than I expected. It was almost comical, especially since I specifically wrote in the size I needed. These sellers obviously made it look bigger than it is. That aside, it's a quality product. Little difficult to clean. You want to reuse this because it's a waste of money if you don't.

Misread description --- too small to use
This is in no way the manufacturer's responsibility, but I presumed this would fit a full-sized roller. It is not. The title clearly states "mini" but I missed that. LOOKS to be fine quality; I just have no use for it and cannot attest to how well it functions. It was shipped timely and arrived in perfect condition. No complaints at all as to it appearing in every way, shape, and form to be exactly as advertised. Since I cannot affirm its functionality, I cannot give it a full five stars.

Didn’t perform well on super smooth surface
I’m an artist who paints carousel horses for work. I bought two of these in hopes of using them as a timesaver for a job I was working on. Sadly they weren’t for me. I bought them to paint a faux burnished leather look on the saddles of the aluminum horses I’m painting. The mini size of the roll was actual fine for me, but I was working with oil based paint. As a result the sponge never really fluffed up on the roll. I also found the sponge roll tended to slide across the aluminum versus rolling over it. Because of this, the pattern did not form on the surface. When it did roll across, the sponge left a distinct spiral pattern because of the string wrapped on there to hold the sponge in place. It wasn’t a very organic look. I’m sure for people applying to drywall with water based house paint it’s different, but these weren’t worth it for me. Ended up getting better results rag rolling with scrap rags I use to clean my paintbrushes.

Sponge for special effects
Wow what can I say about sea sponge. I was a better deal than at the large department, home improvement stores so I need this for home painting and I always try to save money when I can. It works great.

So much better than hand spongeing!
Makes natural looks so much easier! I wish I would have found this sooner. You do need to make sure you get of excess paint. I used a large plastic paint as my paint tray. I used two plastic plates on one I loaded up brush with paint, then on the other I'd roll it a few times (to get off excess paint), then paint on my counter tops.Make sure you get it wet before you use it and squeeze out excess water. If doing multiple layers or colors make sure you work fast so that they blend!
