My favorite part was how well packed, and thoughtfully protected each part was prepared for the rigors of shipment. The packing was a great surface protector for assembly too. The closed foam padding is an awesome kneeling pad for assembly and maybe even for future use in the garden! I digress.....The chairs are all the reviews said they would be, sturdy, comfortable, handsome and built to last. They were easy to assemble (follow the rule to finger tighten first, then go back and hand tighten). No unpleasant surprises at all!I was pleased with how comfortable the low back design is to sit in. I like that it does not obstruct views across the porch when unoccupied.Made in USA!

Beautiful chair! The color is rich and the wood grain is authentic. It is also extremely comfortable and sturdy. No worries about it blowing around. We are going to use it with a second matching chair as a conversation set. The packaging was excellent and well protected in formed bubble wrap....very simple to assemble. We would not hesitate buying from Highwood again!Update- received our 2nd chair from the same order a little delayed due to UPS. But the issue with #2 was the assembly was not as good. Highwood had a different bolt type (screw driver heads instead of alan wrench) and the holes did not line up like the 1st chair. This causes the chair not to sit square on the ground once we forced it together. It also seems that the chair is slightly different color than the 1st. This 2nd chair looks ok but not as perfect as the first.

Nice chair. Easy to put together. Quite comfortable. My only negative observation is I wish the arms were a little wider.Update, May, 2017: I liked this chair so much that I bought two of them on sale as a Christmas gift for my son and his wife who have a cabin close to mine in northern Minnesota. I didn't get them up to the cabin until April, and when I opened the second box there was a defect in the seat section making the chair unusable. I contacted the seller and they were fantastic to deal with. They customer service reps I dealt with, Nicole and Jennifer, were helpful and pleasant and they sent me a new seat section in short order.

Very sturdy and solid. Shouldn't blow around in the Texas winds. Comfortable as a chair without a cushion can be. Great for outdoor use! It did take two folks working together to make the assembly easy - would be harder for one person doing on their own.
