Understated Value
This is a personal testimony of my experience with the product. First a disclaimer: I am not a physician or any type of medical professional. I have never received a formal diagnosis of candidiasis. My opinions are strictly that of a layperson's who has read extensively on the topic and treated myself to the best of my ability.I recently entered a physique transformation challenge. As a low-carb dieter (99% carnivore), I was concerned about ensuring I remained in ketosis to fuel my activities. I had read something about the benefits of MCT oil, so I asked a friend who is very knowledgeable in all aspects of fitness about it. He recommended MiCkey-T Eight caprylic acid, explaining that caprylic acid is the MCT oil that has best conversion rate to ketones. Satisfied that caprylic acid would be my best choice, I ordered this product from his Amazon shop.As I read more about cayprilic acid, one of the things I have learned is that it is quite effective in battling candidiasis. Candidiasis is a condition in which the candida in the gut has grown out of control and no longer exists in correct proportion in relation to other gut biome. It can also find lodgement in other parts of your body if allowed to cause leaky gut syndrome (a condition not recognized by the medical community at this time). Because there are very few medical practitioners that even address gut biome, my condition went undiagnosed, despite my appeals to my primary care physician to be tested for this. But as far as the symptoms go -- such as mood disorders, toenail fungus and others -- I was convinced I had it. My cravings for fatty sugary foods could only be ignored for so long before they took control, and I was on junk food bender that would last for days, even weeks.Caprylic acid, so I've read, is very effective in combatting candida. Because it is a small molecule, it can penetrate biofilms and it interferes with candida's ability to adhere to surfaces in the body. (See NaturalHealth365 article "Caprylic acid is an effective weapon against candida overgrowth and biofilms" by Lori Alton.) It also works very well in tandem with other remedies, such as oregano oil. After a couple of weeks of taking the caprylic acid, I noticed some significant changes. Most importantly, my cravings were abated. I could enter a grocery store in a fasted state, and not leave with two packages of the latest brand of Oreos, or even any desire to do so. I now look at things like this and think it would be nice to have some once in a while, but not now. Not while my physique transformation challenge is underway. When I went through a very emotionally painful time, I didn't go to the grocery store to buy a pint or two of Ben & Jerry's to drown my sorrows. Moreover, it didn't even occur to me to do this.Again, I do not have a medical diagnosis to confirm this. But what can you do when you feel you have a specific condition that's harming you and the medical profession just isn't interested in helping you and barely acknowledges the condition even exists? Moreover, my mood has stabilized. I do have a diagnosis of PTSD and MDD (Major Depressive Disorder), but lately, despite the stresses and incredible amounts of cardio I'm performing to stay on top of my fat loss for this physique transformation challenge, my mood remains stable. Also, the toenail fungus seems to be growing out.So, it is my contention that I had candidiasis, and my conviction that, if not fully cured of it, I'm well on my way of being cured. And it feels quite liberating, not to be a slave to cravings. And I remain convinced that MiCkey-T Eight caprylic acid played a huge role in getting this situation under control.Six stars.

BE CAREFUL WHEN USING MCT OIL !
I started the easiest to implement and life-changing diet about eight months ago. I decided to almost eliminated bad sugars, fried foods and as much processed and non-organic foods as I easily could. The two other key things I did was portion control. Appetizers and restaurants became meals.......I always left food on the plate.........I asked waiters to not bring bread and chips to the table........etc. The last key thing was I started taking MCT Oil. I rarely got on the scale, but over the August to December time frame I quickly lost 14 pounds. It was a slow and steady weight drop that was barely noticeable on a week to week basis. I am still doing this and am down another 3 pounds from the New Year.MCT OIL = I feel this brand of MCT Oil might be the best? I tried one other type and after using that up researched until I found this one that seems to contain the most significant percentage of the best for you MCT's. I genuinely believe MCT Oil tricks your body into thinking it is in a form of Ketosis. It causes your body to go out and grab just a bit of stored fat every day and convert it to energy. I have no proof of this, but I am a firm believer of this now.CAUTION: I have been in the hospital twice with stomach and digestive issues. I am a 100% normal and healthy adult that has had no medical problems and all of the tests come back at or below normal levels. Here is what I believe. I took too much MCT Oil every day and it somehow increased or hardened the bile production and storage in my gallbladder (some would say or think MCT would do the opposite?). Then one day a gallbladder stone dropped into my duct and blocked it up which caused my pancreas to inflame. A potentially dangerous situation. While I was in the hospital, the nurse shared with me a story of her bodybuilder boyfriend who was also taking MCT Oil and who also had gone to the hospital with the same issue. I went online to research more while I was sitting in the hospital bed and deciding on whether I would let them take my gallbladder out or not. I saw one website that had 30-40 forum posts. In those posts, about four people had also complained about hospital or severe stomach issues.I have no basis to scientifically support that MCT Oil was the cause of what happened to me. I can only say that I did not measure the MCT Oil and I was putting way too much in my coffee (most often two cups of coffee per morning with a generous MCT Oil pour in both). I am still 100% a fan of MCT Oil, but my only reason for writing this is to caution people to take only a minimal amount of it. Be careful how much you pour. I wish the manufacturer would put a squeeze lid on top to force you to watch out how much pours out.I hope this helps and once again I want to say I think this brand of MCT Oil is the best!
