QuickBooks 2012 In Depth 1st Edition

This book is great and I purchased it after looking at Barnes and Noble but not finding it available. There were many other books like QuickBooks for Dummies which seemed fine but didn't hit the in depth topics I needed. I would re-purchase this book if I had to do it all over again.

There is a lot of info in this book. However, I find it rather difficult to find exactly what I'm looking for. It would be helpful if the Index were more cross-referenced. Some of the words I choose in looking for something in the Index are not there, altho I'm sure the info must be somewhere. Sometimes I can find it by going to the Chapter e.g. Vendors, but then I have to look thru several pages to find what I'm looking for which is time-consuming.

Ms. Madeira continues her tradition of providing technical books all serious QuickBooks power users / ProAdvisors / consultants should have at hand. Of particular note in this book are the detailed explanations of how QuickBooks works, coupled with specific troubleshooting guidance. Ms. Madeira has a WEALTH of experience and has managed to capture / distill / organize it into a form that facilitates locating and applying it to situations one is likely to encounter in the real-world of QuickBooks use.

Print is very light and quite small. Content is excellent, but needs more screen views of reports, etc.Thanks for the book.

Just got this today and after browsing thru (LOTS OF PAGES!!) It seems that if I can't set up my accounting with it, I must be really dumb! It's easy to understand and I think this will provide me answers to virtually anything I might have a question on!

I use this book to help my students learn quickbooks faster and more efficiently. There are simple easy to read concepts and some "in-depth" ones which gives the reader extended value beyond initial reference.
