It's a charger but doesn't synch with the BMW. You have to use your iPhone cable to USB to do that which makes this useless. Charging is significantly slower than if you just use USB and when your car is off it doesn't charge. So this is just a glorified phone holder. There's not a lot of value here.It is genuine BMW so this price was much better than at the dealer. Still, wouldn't do it over.

Works flawlessly and charges an iPhone 5 much faster than a regular car charger. You simply cannot best OEM equipment.

i use it as a glorified charger. It won't ever pick up a signal to pair with my car and therefore doesn't provide any other use other than to charge my phone.

This model is not for 2014 328i. Only charges phone and no other functionality. The car doesn't recognize iPhone 5 when trying to use connection assist on the navigation panel.

My review is for the "Basic" snap-in adapter, (part number 84212351307) which provides only charging and external antenna connection. It works exactly as described. It powers/charges the phone and I get the same signal with it docked in the armrest as I do standing outside of the car. My car is a 2009 X3 with phone and music connected via car Bluetooth and Tune2Air. Before my phone was usually somewhere on the back seat (or floorboard following a panic stop) with the power cord going from my rear lighter socket to it. This way is much better as it's nicely secured in the center armrest. In my opinion it's a great option to have.

BMW has not kept up with software. This doesn't work with iOS 7+. The car doesn't recognize the phone at all. It will only charge.

This product does nothing to aid the quality of the bluetooth connection with my smartphone - it is still a less than acceptable quality even though this claims to connect to the car radio antenna.I have tested this using different phones NOT using this accessory including an iPhone 5 for connection bad spots/other electrical items that may cause interference without any change.BMW has also recently checked my bluetooth connection stating it is "working fine" - I beg to differ. Sadly, this last hope did not help at all.

Really good product, easy to recommend. Does what it sets out to do with some style. Holds the phone tightly and securely.

Easy to fit and really improves network reception. Always useful to charge my phone while out in the car. Great product
