This is a very neat kitchen must. I had been looking for a thawing tray for meat and vegetables. I also like the rating for the Gemitto Defrosting Tray. Picture is a single hamburger patty that I put on the tray when I got home because I usually run out most mornings without laying something out to thaw. It took it 52 minutes because it was frozen hard. I did put Cling Wrap on the board, didn't use any water in tray. I let the burger thaw while I was getting ready for the next day. Was amazed at how it work, and the burger tasted better to me. I like that it came with the cover because I am very cautions of something floating in the air. The bonus items were a plus, thou I didn't received the silicone brush. It was very easy to clean with dish liquid. Can't want to use it on other meats and vegetables. Delivery was on the day that I was given by Amazon. I would definitely give this as a gift. As a matter of fact I plan on buying one for my nephew whom is getting married in October.

Very good defrost tray! I use this every time I need to defrost meat, it helps catch any blood or liquid that seeps out, the tray is 2 levels which helps separate any juices, It doesn’t create a mess to clean after and no water or micro needed. Just place your desired meat and let it defrost... I have not timed each meat to see how quickly it defrost cause I don’t have time to do that but it does defrost quickly and evenly.The quality is good, lightweight metal of some sort and easy to wash. It can fit a family size steak on it with room to spare around it.It’s about the size of a cutting board, which makes it easy to store when not in use.Before this I was placing my meat in the sink which was inconvenient if someone wanted to use and sometimes it would take long to defrost. This way I can use it on the counter out of the sink for others to use. You don’t realize the need for this until you actually have one. I’ve had this for 2 months and appreciate having this.

Item arrived quickly and well packaged. Item contained items described. I bought this because our son-in-law has one and I really liked how quickly it thaws meat. He bought a different brand, but I chose this one because of the “extras” that come with it. The tray that you can put warm water in beneath the actual thawing board feels a bit hard plastic flimsy. It is a good bonus to have to put hot water in to thaw meat more quickly. So far it has held up without chipping or breaking. The actual thawing board seems pretty sturdy and holds medium portions of meat. If you are looking for larger cuts of meat, I would recommend looking fir a larger surface area board by another brand. It is pretty easy to clean. The fly cover is a bonus that will be used in the summer months when flies are more prevalent. It feels pretty cheap and flimsy though. It is pretty large and will cover a medium to large plate. The stainless steel bar is a bonus, but I am not completely sure if it serves its purpose. The stainless bar holder came broken in half so we simply threw it out as it was more hassle to return it and we just used a bar soap holder that we already had. Overall I am moderately happy with this purchase. It does what it was designed to do, but as for durability time will tell. It mostly feels flimsy and cheap.UPDATE:We have owned this meat thawing board now for quite a while. I am happy to report that it indeed has withstood moderate use and has passed the test of time. The steel bar does seem to work at removing prepping odor from your hands quite effectively. I would highly recommend this set to anyone looking for a time tested and economical option for thawing meat that comes with useful bonus extras.

Because people make make wrongful comments and they get jumbled—This comment is for the “ GEMITTO Defrosting Tray”I researched a lot to find this one. My final decision making factor was the seller told me it can be put in the dishwasher. I see all sorts of different comments by customers saying it can not and it’s not true. Ask the seller before you tell someone what you think is true.It’s a great setup. The plate goes down into a drip tray which is very nice. Not all come with that. It has four small plastic feet to cover the corners. I believe it truly does thaw faster than if it sat by itself on the counter. We placed about a pound of frozen solid meat and it thawed in less than three hours. What I felt was different was the tray keeps it all thawing together whereas when you place something out on the counter I think one portion may thaw and be warmer and this tray kept it all thawed and cool when I picked it up. I think this is safer amd it worked

The board does work, surprisingly enough. I did an experiment by taking out two packs of large turkey legs out of the freezer and setting up two on the board and two on the countertop. After about 10 hours, the two that were on the board were good to go and the two on the countertop were soft on the outside and fairly frozen on the inside.It'd probably work a bit quicker for smaller and thinner cuts, but the contraption is fairly useless as I see it:It's only big enough for couple of smallish steaks or 3-4 chicken drumsticks. And you still don't get them defrost in minutes or even couple of hours. If it still takes 8+ hours to defrost meat, might as well leave it out for a night on the counter, and you won't be limited on how much you can fit there.So cool concept, but going back to Amazon.

I was skeptical at first about this defrosting tray but thought I'd give it a shot. It completely blew me away with how fast it defrosted! My partner thinks it's the best thing ever as well. It easily cuts defrosting time in half for anything you put on it. Well worth it!

This is well designed, looks good on the kitchen counter. The more important thing is that it works perfectly. Using it everyday.

This trey just blows me away. It takes a bit of time but it really, really works well. It’s not always for meat I’ve thawed burritos that I froze and calzones. It will thaw thick pieces of meat but takes awhile, better to take it out the night before and thaw in the fridge. This little trey is great for two but you may need a bigger one for a family of 4 carnivores. Oh and it thaws fish beautifully. Just a great product. Love it.Update.....have had this now going on 6 months. This thaw trey is like I said wonderful item. I’m not sure why others are having troubles but I have thawed so many things too long to mention. If you have a TV dinner just put it on a parchment paper curl up edges a bit and it will even thaw that out. Surprised that worked. I’m writing this because I just bought another for a gift. Great product.

Useless, doesn't work as fast as I think. No recommended.

It thaws everything faster, at least in half the time, even in the fridge.
