Directing the Documentary (Portuguese and English Edition)

I'm assuming it is the greatest book on the subject. I bought it for my son who is in college learning how to edit film and spend my money. He is doing a great job of spending my money and I hope he does a great job working in the film industry.

This book is the same as every other book of its kind. It's way more long winded than most. It falls to typical subtle forms of prejudice where white nondisabled cishet men are the default, and everyone else is an other to be exploited. Don't recommend.

This book is awesome. I feel like im in film school, it covers everything from A-Z. Its very over whelming. But once you master this book you will feel like you have a degree

It's voluminous, haven't finished reading, but it's probably the most complete reference book on documentary making you will ever encounter! And written by a respected person with decades of experience in the field and the trenches, who loves to share that and his knowledge to aspiring documentary makers.Highly recommended!
