Great waterproof shoes! Great for hiking !
Great comfortable shoes. Wore them on a 2 mile hike. Rinsed them off in the river. Fully waterproof! Great value

Good for walking, not for standing
About a month in.Good*Fits well, with room for heavier socks*Walked through snow, ice, mud, and puddle and kept my feet dry.*Walked 2.5 miles and feet were fine.Bad*About as heavy as a pair of combat boots*Less than 3 hours standing and my feet were killing me.

Brand new, feels good, a decent shoe , price was great for it. Really nice looking shoe. My only complaint is that the area were the big toe is a little bit tight.

Most likely diminished by market research or tough negotiation to meet a price point.
This is an item that I believe suffers from some market research or some tough negotiating by the wholesaler to meet a price point so that the Chinese factory looking to make this happen shaves little bits here and there from the quality of the product. The fact is that with perhaps a $5.00 higher price point, Nortiv could have made a truly great shoe. It does keep the foot dry. A Plus for waterproof. The shoe appears to be really well constructed. I ordered a 14W but the toe-box feels a little constrained in with so that my little toes feel right up against the side of the shoe with no breathing room.Next, There is no real insole to speak of, only the thinnest padding on the bottom of the shoe so that you feel the hard outer sole against the bottom of your foot. Your will definitely need to by an insole. But when you do, guess what, Your foot feels more constrained. I solved this by putting in a half (heel) insole. Then if you add in thermal socks, I would recommend that you size up. Also, and last for this review, I want to say that the shoestrings provided are too short. I can barely double tie the knot on the shoe. I think this product can be made to work so I am keeping mine, but I would not reorder this particular low top hiking shoe again.

Roomy and looks to be well made
I need wider shoes--EE--, I walk and hike a lot, and coming from Solomons, which now don't last but a few months and are expensive, and Merrill Moab 2 and 3s, which are much more reasonably priced and last most of a year, these are comfortable, fit my wider feet, and look to be well made--time will tell. One note is that they have maybe and 1/8 inch more vertical room but a pair of dr scholls odor eaters on top of my orthotics was perfect. They also do seem less breathable than Moabs but obviously don't have the mesh sides like the Moabs.

A shoe for all terrains and conditions e.g.----a shoe for all seasons
Great laces... They have nodes @ intervals that aid in producing a stay put square knotThe two pair of slip-in lace holders is terrific I use a double square knot on both of them and then finish with a double bow tie The ankle is secureThe tread provides good traction and also the other benefit cleans out debris rather easilyI've never seen or worn a better shoe that pockets the tongue there is no drift in the tongue. The pocket that it fits into adds to the waterproof nature of the bootThere are no eyelets... Yay!!Is there a treatment for the upper part of the shoe as regards keeping the upper supple and waterproofI use a fleece lining when the temperatures are in the single digitsThe people are being served with this well-designed boot
