Stopped functioning after a few months
I am using it as supplemental illumination with a WYZE camera. It is poorly designed, optically and mechanically. It has a serious hotspot that I blocked using tape, the center two diodes are just too much for the cheap little WYZE.It uses countersink screws that thread into bores with no countersinks. Those same screws extend crudely from the mating flanges. The aforementioned flanges bow badly between screws, a big no-no in terms of sealing.I’m using it in a semi-arid climate under an overhang, so it’s okay, but I would not trust it in an exposed location. The automatic on-off is a nice feature. I’m using it with a 2.1A switching PS I picked up from Jameco. So I got it to function, and it’s working, hopefully it will live for a year or two.Follow up- the automatic on feature no longer works, after six months. It is on all the time. Buy something else, this is junk.

Great value for $22!
The 6 yr old aux IR light I have to supplement my driveway security camera was fading badly, so I took a chance on this $22 IR light, and so far I’m impressed. As you can see from the before and after photos, the difference is pretty stark, and welcome. The lights listed range is 30m and it lights up my driveway at least that. I have mine placed so that it points parallel to the ground, so I haven’t experienced the hot spot or white wash-out complaints I’ve read in reviews on other lights. That being said, any object, person or critter within about 10-15’ of the light will wash out. All IR lights do that. Pointing up the drive, this IR light is evenly diffused and allows me to see everything happening up and down my driveway with good clarity. Now it just remains to be seen if it lasts any reasonable length of time. But for $22, if you’re considering a lost cost IR light, you can’t go wrong!

Worked very well to illuminate an area far from the CCTV camera
Use this to illuminate an area beyond the camera infrared LEDs. Worked very well- now it remains to be seen how long it works- many of my cameras have lost LEDs over time until there aren't enough left to do the job.Came here to order another one and now I see they are "no longer available".EDIT-Unit quit working- opening it up the photocell is apparently bad, that or it's circuitry. I can unplug the photocell internally and it stays on all the time, so LEDs are good.Has a one year warranty but I've had it 13 months....

Works great!
Works exactly like it should. It’s in the garage so even with the garage lights on, the night/day sensor thinks it’s dark as stays on so I just unplug the light until evening time. But it drastically improves the picture of my camera. I thought it came with the power cord and it didn’t which is kind of ridiculous. The pictures are deceiving and there is no reason you can’t throw one in. It should be put in the main title ‘power supply notincluded’. Save people time and money.

No hot spot
Like this model best and I have various IR floods in service. It has the best overall coverage without a "spot" of illuminatiin. The Area I use is about 30 feet x 25 feet. Many other types available so choose carefully for your need

Camera in the Window
I have a camera in my patio window to keep an eye on my yard. Cameras attached to the house have failed due to critters that have broken them in the past. The infrared night vision will not work through the window glass so this IR illuminate r does the job. I had to place it facing the same way as the camera faces and so far the critters have not messed with it. Now I can see those nasty Raccoons as they mess with me.

Works well. Perfect for driveway, sidewalk, or dark corner
Works as advertised. Please note that this does not come with a power supply. You need 12V at 2 Amps, with center pin positive. Note that my power supply is rated 1.75 A and works just fine.

Not what was expected
Disappointed in that the one I received is pretty much a spotlight. It does not cover a large area, say a double wide driveway. Very bright in the center but not edge to edge coverage. Maybe OK for a small area where you need to light a single car or sidewalk.
