My daughter is a tall 8 year old (almost 9 year old) and I ordered a size 11y-12y and it just barely fit. So if you have a larger child, I would order up a size or two like I did.

Darling dress for tween girl - not too young looking, not too grown up either. Fit slightly smaller than expected and I wish it came in a size bigger, but I couldn’t find something she liked better so it still worked for family photos. Texture is nice and not too fussy. This fit just above the knee on my daughter. There doesn’t seem to be any stretch in this dress.

This was bought for my daughter for pictures. It fit great when I came and she looked so cute for pictures. However after the fist wash it shrunk in length considerably, to the point I put it in the too small pile.

My kiddo asked for a dress similar to a beautiful linen one I got on Etsy this past autumn. I scoured amazon for something similar and found this dress. It is NOT linen, but honestly, for the price obviously it wasn’t linen. And I don’t feel badly if pizza ends up down the front. It is lightweight and has pockets and is a lovely slightly berry toned red color. The waist fit is a little on the small side for a sturdy kid but overall it was a good buy. Kiddo is age six and wears a size 8 so I got the 7-8. It’s not going to fit for all that long but it’s pretty and I’ll probably get the next size up when the time comes.

One thing I didn't notice before buying this for my daughter was that it has useful pockets, and that made our day. She is 5 and this is perfect for her, just long enough and once washed, it's very soft. It did shrink ever so slightly in the wash, so consider that when buying, but it was the perfect fit. You do have to unbutton it before putting it on, but I don't know some people are putting negative reviews due to buttons. That's what they're there for.Seriously though. Pockets.

I wanted to love this dress, but it's pretty awful. Fabric is awful - not soft or stretchy. The worst part is that there is a hidden zipper along one side of the dress and it's actually painful for my little girl, so she can only wear the dress if i layer something under it. It also shrunk in the wash. ARGH!

I ordered this dress as something comfortable my daughter can wear that isn't too fancy. She has a medium build and therefore not super skinny (as most retailers seem to assume for 6 year olds). It fits perfect, with just the right amount of extra room for playing around, without looking too big or sloppy. The fabric is of quality and definitely NOT see through.

was a bit disappointed with it. it looked cute on the model not sure if it will on my granddaughter seems a bit off. quite cant put my finger on it yet. It does need to be ironed as it comes pretty crumbled up.

This dress is so stinking cute! I read reviews and saw it fits small so I ordered a size up and got 8/9 for my 6 year old that wears 6/7 usually. It looks great now and she can even grow into as long as it doesn’t shrink too much in the wash. I think I’ll be ordering more because it’s such a cute little dress!
