I find this book to be inspirational. Part of the title "...Bring Calm & Peace" seems very apropos. But also, in a subtle way the prayers encourages action.Concerning a two star review saying the prayers were actually "quotes from the bible". This is incorrect. Click the "Look Inside" on the webpage and read some of the prayers. Do you see any quotes from the bible?

I really like these prayers. The only thing I wish that it was more prayers for more than one as we use them at dinner time, but that isn't a big deal.They are very nice pertinent prayers.

I've been looking for a collection of prayers for a while now. Not only are these prayers beautiful and elegant, but they have given me strength to keep moving forward after some difficult moments. For anyone that is looking for peace and connection, I would recommend this book.

I was looking for a "spiritual" prayer book not quotes from the bible. If you are a church type person and want psalms and verses from the bible then this may meet your needs. I believe in a Higher Power, God, and The Universe and desired a prayer book that reflects this belief. Yes, I found a beautiful prayer book called "Uplifting Prayer To Light Your Way" by Sonia Choquette. Hope this is of some assistance to your. God Bless

A collection of prayers, one for each day of the year. Several prayers are presented for special days such as Easter, Christmas and New Years.

Loved it! This book is a really helpful for someone who has hard time knowing how to pray like I was.

Christmas stocking stuffer

Now, I'm thinking of a French version, Lingala version or Swahili version. This is perfect to use and a great inspiration for your own prayers. The words are almost prophetical to me since I started using it in March. Every day seems to talk of a different aspect of my life (your life) and it works. I keep it with me so I can pray again. Muslims do it 5 times a day, christians ought to do the same. The book will not teach you how to pray but will inspire you to come up with similar words for your own prayers and that is magical.

All I'm going to say about Oliver's 3 books I bought ( this, 100 most powerful morning and 100 most powerful evening prayer books) is that he is gifted in structuring words for prayers. I wanted to pray but a lot of times found it hard to find the right words but with these books I feel confident in my prayers alongside his words. I often interject my own words of prayers alongside and personalise it. Great book

Very handy to have and has different lengths of pray which are clearly set out for each day. Very worthwhile.
