Perfect for a multi-use bike
So happy to have an option to clip in or not. This makes it much easier to hop on the bike for shorter trips when I don't want to bring a change of shoes, or need to walk around in my bike cleats. One weird thing to note: these are taken on/off with an allen wrench instead of a petal wrench. Not sure why they did it that way, but just be aware so you have the right tools ready to go.

Great with clipped shoes and flip flops
I love my Time Atacs. I switched to flat pedals on one of my bikes so I could use it with street shoes. But I missed being able to clip in when I wanted. These give me the best of both worlds. The pedal flips if you don't clip in, so it's really easy to clip in with the right side. If anything, I wish the flat side had some pegs for a bit more structure.

No tension adjustment
I'm really not a fan of these, but I love the Time Atac system and wanted a hybrid pedal on my e-bike, and this is the only option. My main complaint with these pedals is that there is no tension adjustment like you would normally find on a clip-in pedal, and the springs are very stiff. It seems that Time's solution to this is to supply "easy release" cleats with these pedals. However, I also have Time Atac pedals on my gravel and mountain bikes where I do more serious riding and certainly don't want to use easy release cleats. These are very difficult for me to unclip from with the standard Time Atac cleats, and I have almost fallen over when I've been barely able to unclip in time. Stiff springs + easy release is not a solution I want and I really hope Time reconsiders this "solution" in the future, or some other brand offers an alternative hybrid pedal compatible with Time Atacs. But for now I'm stuck with these.

Just right solution!
Perfect solution to a spin bike that has on rider that "clips-in" and one that doesn't 😀

Good for switching between clipless and regular shoes
A bit cheap feeling but I love Time atac pedals. All my other bikes have Time pedals so I have the cleats installed on my shoes. These seemed like a good way of being able to just wear street shoes if I felt like it. they work but my doc martens slip off them. The knurled surface is grippy ONLY if you wear shoes with very soft soles like vans or suchlike. I stopped using them within a month.

My favorite ATAC pedal
These are quite light and work well with or without cleats. I have them on 3 bikes.

Worst of both worlds
I got a good deal on these as they were old stock at the shop but unfortunately no deal could be good enough to convince me to continue to use them. The platform side is very narrow which makes my outer 2 toes hang over the edge. The platform is about as grippy as it is wide. My flat-bottom five ten shoes slide around with much more ease than I would like. Going offroad at all, or even over especially rough streets, sometimes shakes my foot clean off the platform. On standard mtb pedals with pins the shoes stick very nicely, but on these dinky plastic textured platforms they're all over the place. Less stiff sneakers may be a different story, but with softer soles the narrowness of the platform becomes too glaring to ride comfortably, at least with as much pressure as I tend to apply. The cleat side is... new to me, so I can't say too much. I'm used to SPD-SL so I'm still figuring out exactly where to step to get into these consistently, the technique for clipping in is very different from the system I'm familiar with. They are at least very easy to unclip from compared to SPD-SL. I only got to do one test ride with the clipless side because one of the springs is slightly loose in the plastic frame of the pedal such that when I pull up on the back of the pedal stroke it clicks, I can feel it move a little and it's audible as well. This alone makes the particular pair that I now posses unusable to me but I imagine this is more of a QC issue. Even if there were no defect in the clicking pedal, I'm pretty sure I would not continue to run these. I have access to a pair of vintage 1st or 2nd generation original ATAC pedals (the ones that are rounded and bulky looking), going to try those and see if I can appreciate the more time-tested and sworn-by design. Lots of people swear by this cleat interface, I really want to see the light but if I don't get comfortable clipping in after a couple of weeks then it'll be on to trying SPD or crank bros.Slight aside, but the "easy" 10 degree cleats that these come with are way too easy to pop out of for anything more serious than gentle commuting. I was hoping to use these on a fixie but there's no way my lifting foot will stay clipped in for skids etc, I can just tell. Under heavy load it takes barely any rotation to come unclipped. Wish I could trade them in for some of the 13/17 degree "standard" cleats :(

Passez votre chemin.

Super idea, well made
I love having a clip in and regular flat pedal in one. Couldn't find any neat looking adaptors for TIme Atac pedals so this fits the bill. Doesn't look as sturdy as my 20yr old Time A TAX but still good quality. Clip in is fine for me...only a teeny bit more of a faff than regular time atac pedals. Great for your knees as you have a little bit of lateral movement once clicked in, which I really like.
