Great read, great stories. Just buy it.
Gifted this to my husband who said it may just be one of the best books about pro wrestling he has ever read. And trust me, he has read them all. I noticed he has read it more than once. What could be a better compliment?

Snow Storm of Greatness
Al Snow may be one of the smartest minds this industry has ever seen. He is also one of the most underrated wrestlers of all time. This book is EPIC as he doesn't hide from anything in his past and paints a clear picture of everything that happened. MUST READ from start to finish. Do not skip a page.

Good read
Bought this for my 17 year old son who is a pro wrestler. It was good for him to read the life of and relate to a story of someone he has worked with. He enjoyed reading it.

What Does Everybody Need? ……a break from their HEAD!
I’ve read SO many wrestling autobiographies by the old timers, the attitude era guys, and the new generation. So when I read the reviews saying this one by Al Snow was the best one, I read it. They weren’t wrong. Wisdom, laughter, and truth. His honesty is commendable. We all make mistakes, but do we learn our lesson? This man did and he shares the lessons with us readers. Thanks Al. OVW!

Great book
Al Snow is awesome and he’s funny as hell. This book is a great explanation of the inner workings of the wrestling business and an insightful glance into Al’s lengthy career. I’ve read many wrestling biographies and this is one of the best.

Mesmerizing Autobiography!
I’ve read many wrestlers’ autobiographies, and this may be my favorite! It is well-written and held my attention. I read it straight through. And, let me just say…chapter 22 may be the funniest thing I’ve read in years and one of the best wrestling stories ever! The “Life Lessons” were great as well!

Funny and well writen
Ive read a lot of autobiographies by wrestlers, and this is among the best of them. Al tells his story very well, and tells a realistic tale and gives you a good idea of what life as a wrestler is like. Unlike many of other wrestler autobios I've read, he doesn't take swipes at rivals or bad mouth others in the business. It's a very pleasant and comfortable read, and I think it's neat hearing the stories of the lesser known wrestlers.

Life lessons the hardcore way
A great book and an amazing story. I have to admit I was surprised the book was as good as it was. I remember Al Snow as the guy who would not quit. No matter how many times he lost (jobbed for the one of the other wrestlers). What differentiates this from many of the other books from others wrestlers (most of them accomplished world champions), was Al (dispite what he felt at the end of his teens), knows wrestling is a "work". The matches are predetermined, but mental and physical is a must the handle the gruelling schedule and lifestyle. As well as for the in-ring performances (what they actually live for). I have to admit I do always find it funny when former World champions rattle off the names of the wrestlers they beat. In the words of Al"I beat the same people you did the same people you did! The ones who were told to lose to me!"One of the great things about this book is it is not written with bitterness, but maturity and hindsight to where Al talks about his younger experiences and setbacks and in some cases successes and attributes a life lesson they were but he could not see at the time. Not that he always follows his own advice.Another that that comes across in this book is Al is a great teacher. Yes a do what I say, not what I do type teacher. Though in this case it works as he tends to trying to teach people not to repeat his own mistakes. As much as I enjoyed this book, and like most of Al's advice, I don't agree with everything he says especially his view on drugs. Yes steroids are necessary for healing injuries, but they should not be allowed in competition. Yes pro-wrestling is a not real competition, but because of the image portrayed it creates a culture of if you are not using you are not trying. So it is not you are only healing or hurting yourself. That is bull!!A great book a very enjoyable read, showing the dark, light, sad and hilarious life of pro wrestling. Told from the point of view of view of someone who after 37 years in the business is still a fan.

Amazing Autobiography, Great Nostalgia Trip for Wrestling Fans
Another fantastic joint-venture from author Ross Owen Williams, who co-wrote The Hardcore Truth with Bob Holly. Dare I say it, this surpasses that book - funny, entertaining, and a great trip down memory lane for all of us who remember the Attitude Era and one of it's most underrated stars, Al Snow.Definitely worth picking up and reading a couple of times through to see what you miss on the first go-round!

A different wrestling read.
This differs greatly from other wrestling books, in a good way. Al doesn't paint himself to be the greatest wrestler ever or biggest draw. It is honest, open and funny. Self deprecating throughout and very enjoyable.

Excellent
When I first heard Al Snow was writing a book I was intrigued. From start to finish it was compelling and full of great stories from one of wrestling's more unheralded names.
