Bought this as a Christmas gift for my niece. She was so excited to open it, only to find one of the holes was drilled on the wrong side of the easel so it wouldn’t stand up! Thankfully her dad is handy enough it will be able to be fixed, but how embarrassing! Poor quality control!

I recently got this item for my 10-year-old daughter, who regularly does doll play with a couple of her close friends. They are always looking for items to create scenarios of various kinds. We got this so the dolls could do some art together!Impressions...QUALITY:The main parts are all made of wood. All wood surfaces are sanded smooth, and the table is done in the right proportions for an 18" doll. The pink paint on the table top is smooth and even. The table is held together firmly and has no loose parts.The cloth elements are stitched well, and seem like they will hold up for play for some time.VARIETY OF PARTS:The kit includes enough pieces to create a mini art studio. Included with the easel is a small supply of paper and a small mount for the artwork. There are two brushes, which is just enough. It might have been good to add perhaps one more smaller brush in the mix.PLAY REALISM:For the most part, it looks like the kids had a pretty easy time using this to create a studio with their dolls. The 18" dolls look right for the table. The kids easily put the palette in the dolls' hands, and the aprons fit "comfortably" on the dolls. While the brushes are made nicely, they seem just slightly too large for the dolls' hands.CONCLUSION:This is a nice set for creative kids to add a new scenario for their dolls. It's made well, and works nicely with 18" dolls.

This review is for the artist studio set. Like our other Adora products, it is a really cute, well made little set. The apron, easel and bag, and the table are adorable and constructed really well. The packaging is very nice. I'm a little disappointed in the attention to detail to this set, I feel like it is a bit under done. The paintbrushes and paint jars are just very plain. Maybe it is because they are wooden, but the paintbrushes could look a little more realistic or have tapered handles. I thought the jars of paint might be better with some screw off lids. That would facilitate more play I think, right now it is a little limited. Compared to some of our Barbie kits (which I recognize are mostly plastic and different sizes) this just really seems to be lacking in those little touches of detail that can be intriguing for young girls

My daughters (4 and 5 years old) absolutely love playing with their dolls using their imaginations. They have a variety of 18 inch dolls including Adora and American Girl. This will work well with both. They have a number of accessories for these dolls. Some are hits, some stay forgotten in the bottom of a toy chest. This one is definitely a hit in our home. It is well made, fits the dolls nicely, and is great for encouraging imaginative play.
