Essential
I wear this everyday. They provide excellent ankle support and stave off swelling. Only downside is that they wear out in 6-8 months and need to be replaced.

Sizes are inaccurate. Please be advised that the straps run much smaller than advertised
The design and construction of this tendon strap appear to be of good quality. However, we measured exactly and, according to the given instructions, we originally ordered a small. It was too small so we returned it for this medium. It, too, is much too small. Very disappointed. Will still reorder the large size and hope it will work for my Achilles. After great customer service from Amazon and the seller, i received my large Achilles strap. It fits! Great quality product that offers immediate relief and is made to last.

Wasn’t tight enough. Velcro loosened with wear. I took a Boomba sock and lowered it down to the Achilles heel. Did the trick.

Hurts like hell. Physical therapist told me to stop
I have achillies tendonopathy (however you spell it), I wore this to try and help relive the pain and self medicate. It wasnt worth it. I wore it for days and days and it got worse and worse. I went to the doctor and they diagnosed me and told me to stop wearing it. Do yourself a favor. Go to the doctor. This may work for others but I was told specifically to stop wearing it.

The original achilles strap is still great
I've bought the Pro-Tec version of this strap twice over the last many (15+) years, but now that one is more expensive than the Cho-Pat. Since I know Cho-Pat is the original such achilles tendon strap, it seemed like a great opportunity to try it out.I seem to get achilles tendon issues on my left leg every time I re-start running after some other long injury recovery (hamstring on other leg, in this case). This type of strap offers great relief. I think the Cho-Pat strap is a bit more comfortable than the Pro-Tec in general. The horizontal strap is softer and more padded. The vertical (under foot) strap is non-stretchy, where the Pro-Tec is elastic. I think in general the less stretchy strap makes it easier to get a snug, but not overly tight fit. My Pro-Tec started to separate on the horizontal "loop" strip (where the velcro "hooks" attach). The Cho-Pat is stitched in this area, and some other, where the Pro-Tec is glued. The quality and detail of this strap is very good.I've only worn it 3 times now, for about 15 miles of running, but so far I'm very pleased. I worried at first that the under-foot strap seemed too short, but I think I was trying to wear it too high, and need to let it sit lower on the ankle (which is why it's sized by measuring the largest ankle circumference.)

Not really sure what it does
I ordered this at the direction of my physical therapist, but I am not sure how it benefits me. I see no difference from wearing this and I actually think I have more benefits from an overall sports ankle brace. I have been diagnosed with Achilles tendentious and a partial tear.

It Really Works!
Light-weight, comfortable, easy to put on, washable, and it works. It's all about that rolled piece pressing gently on the back of the ankle. I can walk around for hours wearing this little Cho-pat. I use three things together that strengthen my entire leg and foot for hours and hours. This ankle Cho-Pat - the Cho-Pat Cho-Pat for the knee (one small strip that fits just below the knee) - and Orthoheel Orthotic Inserts (or anatomically correct footbed shoes). I should add here what the issues were: fallen arch - bunion - shin bone muscle pain - tendonitis (atrophy from a broken foot). And they are affordable. There are not enough stars here for this one!
