The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel (The Terra Nova Series)

TCKCS is a very well written ,detailed,and very useful guide for Cav owners. Svant-Harris covers all the aspects of taking care of your Cavalier-- Feeding, grooming, training, health issues,etc. There are several good Cavalier books; this is as good as any I've seen.My only (small) complaint is that practically every picture in CKSC are of Blenheim Cavs, while I prefer the looks of the tricolor ones. Nevertheless, I'm satisfied with my purchase.

I bought this book to find out more about my new Cavalier puppy, but when she talks about feeding the dog, she goes against everything else I've read (including on Cavalier breed specific websites such as cavaliers.co.uk). I lost confidence in everything else she talks about when I found the feeding information to be wrong.

This book went way beyond breed history, standards and training There is a great section on caring for your Cavalier feeding, grooming, and common health concerns. The author even goes into an in-depth section on emergency care. Great information to know for all dog breads!

As a first-time owner of a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel this book was a wealth of information about the breed that everyone should know before you get a Cavalier. I highly recommend this book to everyone who is looking to get a Cavalier or those who already have one.

I got this book because my king charles is getting older and I wanted some tips to help him. It did help with issues that I'm noticing that my dog has that seems common with other king charles. The puppy pics make me want to buy another...

I have been reading it every night, and as a breeder I am impressed that I say the exact same things to people that buy my pups. Now I can just buy this book for every new owner!

We own a King Charles spaniel and he is a great companion for adults and children. The author gives good advice on their care and training. This is a helpful book and one to keep in our pet library.
