Good value for money, especially for the length of usage
Bought this because we were going to start using a product, but didn't like it idea of using chemicals all the time, and cost would eventually add up. For a one off cost, this product seemed like a much better option, especially as it is advertised to last numerous years. So far we have used it on every wash, and I have not seen any signs of damage on the product or to any of our clothes. It simply sits in the drum, bounces round as it cycles, and does it's thing. I would maybe advice to remove it when you are washing delicate items such as Lacey underwear etc as the ball does bounce around the drum somewhat, but as it's totally smooth I can't see how it would catch or damage anything except through sheer pounding. Overall very happy, time will tell if it is truly preventing to build up!.

Like to freshen up the washing machine every couple of months. This makes the machine look and smell like new. Seems to clean washer really well. I hadn't cleaned it with any product like this before, and have had my washer for 8 years! Just started washing cloth diapers, and they recommend these monthly as well as other maintenance. I had ended up with a lot of dirt build up (we have 3 dogs!) Inside the little drain hose in the front ( front load washer) that you're supposed to drain regularly and I couldn't get it loose. This actually dissolved the crude and got it flowing free. Very pleased. Using monthly now.

Surprise!
Was really surprised. I was doing to buy water softener tablets but saw this and thought I'd give it a try. I'm glad I did, it works! My clothes came out incredibly soft without fabric conditioner. Super impressed with these! We had a moldy/mildew smell coming from our machine that wasn't being resolved with bleach washes (as recommended by the manufacturer.) As I was doing my first treatment I saw on the package that it could be repeated if needed. I silently thanked Amazon for being significantly cheaper than my local mass market grocer. That was weeks ago. I've not needed to do a second treatment yet! I thought for sure I'd be ordering more of these in a hurry.
