Charley Harper - Tree of Life: 500 Piece Puzzle (Pomegranate Artpiece Puzzle)

I’ve purchased this puzzle as gifts for my grandkids and other children around age 8-10. It’s a really fun puzzle for the child to do with a parent or grandparent as it elicits discussion of Charley Harper, the American artist, and the animal kingdom he depicts in creatures from sea to land to air.

I just love this brand and this artist! The quality of newer puzzles is not quite as good as the older ones I have (and I have about 10 of these puzzles) but that said, the old one are 5+ stars. This newer one is 4 1/2. Only because the pieces are not as well cut out. One tip on this puzzle!!! If the piece does not fit like a glove and easily, it is not the correct one for that spot. These puzzles can be tricky like that. (Or challenging, if you prefer that term).

I thought a previous review was crazy saying 2 pieces don't fit but I finished this thing and have looked over and over at it and on the blue edges... all the patterns and fit are right but 2 pieces left that don't go. Since they must be printed then stamped/cut then the only explanation is that pieces got mixed up between puzzles? Done so many puzzles lately and never seen this. Usually if something is off then finish the puzzle and you'll find it...not this time. It's an easy puzzle and would be easy to spot if something were off.Other than that I really like the quality of the pieces and fit and will try another Pomegranate puzzle or two.UPDATE: Found a piece out of place and completed the puzzle. But as another user pointed out, some side pieces are way too similar and can be placed to where both the fit and the leaf pattern looks perfect. Took and magnifying glass to find it.

I really like the quality of Pomegranate puzzles, the art is printed matte rather than glossy and the pieces are thick and sturdy. I have gotten a number of puzzles from this brand and have not had any that have damaged or peeling apart pieces which can be common for other puzzle brands. The Charlie Harper illustration is beautiful. It’s a fairly easy puzzle that was quick to do.

This puzzle is pure joy. It's not tooo complicated for me, so is quite soothing. I love the lux matte feel of the pieces. The thick plastic bag inside the quality box just feels rich. I love the image and am completely enjoying the process of completing it. This one is a KEEPER! No sharing with this one! Would make a fabulous gift!

The puzzle came in a very sturdy box with the puzzle pieces in their own reusable zip close bag inside. The pieces fit well, were varied in shape and had clean edges. The color is somewhat subdued but overall was a fun patten to do.

What I loved about this puzzle was unlike a lot of puzzles, most all of the pieces were already seperated in the box, whereas some puzzles pieces weren't all the way cut apart. Also, the pieces were thick and sturdy so it was easy to transfer sections you do to other areas of the puzzle. The colors were great. I just do 1 or 2 puzzles a week (usually 1000 pieces but this one was so cute I had to buy) and this is by far one of the best quality. I have 4 more puzzles from the same brand in my cart right now.

I liked the graphic artwork, colors and the variation of the images in the tree of life. It is a nice learning tool.

New to jigsaw puzzles, I quickly realised the therapeutic value of them when I helped my grandsons with theirs and so I thought I would treat myself to one. This jigsaw is beautifully made and challenging enough to make you feel good about completing it. A very calming and satisfying experience. An absolutely beautiful jigsaw puzzle.

When I opened the packaging and saw the larger size pieces thought oh, an easy puzzle but no, quite the opposite and it is taking me longer than I initially thought to finish this although I never look at the picture until finished - maybe a bit sad but nonetheless adds to the complication.

Bought as a gift and was well received.

A high quality jigsaw , lots of detail.. a great Christmas present . Enjoyed by our 11 year old and her dad .

It's colourful and fun to do. I ended up buying another one as a present - would recommend it :)
